PSX MM3 modchip... alternative trace for pin 4?

    BTW i see alot of modchip install that used very loong IDE wire ( a disaster of mod :disgust:) with lifted trace on mobo but works the same...

    @Jinn: can you send mayumi 3 hex to me? I would test and find installation too :)

    Here's some pictures of the install: http://imgur.com/a/2nFTX The chip is normally held down with a strip of Scotch tape. I did NOT have the metal shield attached when I tested Strider 2, if that makes a difference. I can retake pictures or label them if needed. Thanks everyone for offering to take a look :)

    Installation it's a mess!
    Make wire shorter and, if i see correctly, point 3 it's in wrong solder pad :p
    You should solder it to the next right pad ;)

    yes, point 3 is in the wrong place.

    I got it working! I had to move point 3 to the correct location and shorten it's wire. I also shortened and re-soldered point 7's wire to be safe. Tested it with Strider 2 and it works great!

    Thanks for the help everyone! Thank god I never tried to install a PS2 modchip :cringe:.
