OK so here is the deal, I have never been in to fps on consoles but recently I bought and played CoD MW2 and loved it.. because I finally came around to get used to working the 2 analog sticks in console fps vs old skool keyboard and mouse.. :thumbsup: Anyway as I clearly missed out on many CoD's on the ps3 in my case I am wondering which of them are worth buying and playing after playing MW2. Can you recommend me all, or some that are too outdated and will be a letdown after playing MW2 and so on? Maybe only the last 2 are worth the money MW1 and WaW?
As Sojiroh mentioned, only get WaW if you're interested in the zombie mode, otherwise it's pretty forgettable. MW1 is good though, but if you're going to get it for the multiplayer you'll find that MW2 is better (at least IMO anyways). Oh also, if you're after using a keyboard and mouse on your PS3/360 check XFPS offerings or custom built XIMs.
Yeah, they're all pretty good. If you want to try them, why not rent one or go to a LAN gaming centre?
I'm not really in it for multiplay, just want to finish them singleplayer mode and bin them when finished lol.. hope im not insulting the hardcore fans I don't have the right age and time left to actually make a difference online lol. What is zombie mode? Guess i'll be buying MW1 then.
Call of Duty 3 is the only reason I went out and bought another xbox after I sold my first one (due to financial difficulties) Great game.
3 is great because it's cheap and has some good WWII online fun packed in. I never understood why WaW was supposedly so bad. I had fun playing it. Maybe nobody like WWII anymore. DEUD WHERE'S MY HEARBEAT SENSOR THESE GUNS CANT SHOOT STRAIGHT
I'm not a huge CoD fan to begin with so "wasn't so bad" = garbage imo. I know a lot of people that like them. But I just really didn't. :lol:
I lol'd. But , people just hate them because it's not made by IW and it's made by TA. They just want to jump on the TA hate bandwagon
Honestly, I hate them because they just don't feel all that great. CoD2 basically had everything perfect, and 3 just screwed it all. Graphics were grainier because they tried to pack in too much detail, aiming felt off, story not as well done, everything.
I have WaW on my PS3 and like it's multiplayer game play WAY more than CoD4:MW game play on my 360. (When I say game play, I'm speaking of the maps and guns and such. NOT anything to do with XBL vs PSN) Though, I must say that CoD4:MW campaign totally owns WaW's campaign mode.
I never really enjoyed MW2 from what I played when I was having a go on my Brother's game. The Special Ops are really the only enjoyable thing. Same goes for CoD5 the Nazi Zombies were the only REAL enjoyable thing. Didn't have a problem with MW1 I really enjoyed it. Everything about it, the story is gripping, multiplayer is addicting, it's pretty much the only FPS I thoroughly enjoy. I'm not sure about the PS3 but the Xbox 360 ported CoD2, it's by the Infinity Ward and is also a great game even though it's a tad dated compared to the Modern Warfare series.
