I was thinking lately to get a console i never played with.
I think i could choose one of the following (ranked list)

    1) Atari Jaguar
    2) Atari Jaguar with CD
    3) Saturn
    4) Lynx
    5) Neo geo CD.

I must admit Sega Saturn seems quite interesting, but so does the Jaguar too.
Which one do you guys think should i go with first? Of course my budget is somewhat limited, but not short.
Why should the Saturn / Jaguar be intresting on your own opinion?

Neither my Saturn nor my Jaguar get played (though Jaguar more for a lack of me buying games for it), so if you decide on one of them, ive got stuff available XD But for a real recommendation, id go with the Neo Geo CD, simply because its a NeoGeo heh, even if there are some mild load times at...times

As a proud owner of a Lynx I can say, don't bother except for curiousity sake, it'll cost you more in batteries then to buy a system and it lacks killer aps.

Aside from a couple of decent games including Gates of Zendacon and Scrapyard Dog it lacks any brilliant and unique games.

In a way I'd say its kind of a precurser to the PSP in that while it had the tech to do something (see the aformentioned games) better then any other handheld market at the time it just got stuck with a bunch of poor - mediocre remakes for the most part.

I'd say Saturn because you're going to find more interesting titles for it but Jaguar could be okay if you were leaning that way.

I'd go with saturn as well, and don't go for the Neo Geo CD... AES or bust! =)

Is this a question or a joke? What do you want? A console to play more than 3 good games on or something to take the piss out off every time you switch it on? If it's the latter then get the Jag  The Saturn will keep you entertained for many years as long as you buy import games for it.

Saturn for sure! With JP games. There'll always be something you want to hunt down but it's too rare/expensive/obscure.

The Neo-Geo CD is great too, but there comes a point where you will say... "what else can I get for the NG? Bah, there's nothing else good to collect, is there?" (But I don't like fighting games, so my choices are halved anyway.)

Another vote for Saturn. The Atari consoles aren't worth buying (not for the games, at least) unless you've got some serious nostalgia for them, and the Neogeo CD has terrible loading times. There are stacks of good games for Saturn, though.

Ten out of ten Assembler experts agree, get yourself a Saturn. Jag isn't worth it and good luck finding a Jaguar CD for a decent price, Lynx is okay but hard to find good games for. Neo geo CD isn't worth it either.

I never played any of those consoles other than Saturn, and I only have two games for it, but I think its worth it. DragonForce is REALLY fun once you get the confusing options and menus figured out.

I havent checked, but the price for it on Ebay might have skyrocketed (higher than before!!) because WD isnt in business anymore, though.
