I just went to one in northern Alabama. I meant to take some pictures, but I forgot to take my camera and I don't feel like going back as it's almost an hour away.

Anyway, they did indeed have old games. They had PSX, N64, SNES, Genesis, and even a couple NES games, in addition to all the modern consoles. Selection wasn't great, but it was better than Gamestop for sure! The prices were pretty reasonable. I got Earthworm Jim, Sonic 3, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, and Resident Evil (PSX, the one in the big box) for $20. Not a bad deal, I'd say. They even had some Famiclones and SNES-clones (Play N Trade brand).

I just came back from one in Florida, and they were nothing to write home about. Their collection of retro games was very limited, about a dozen NES and handful of SNES games sitting in the corner with a somewhat larger selection of N64 games. No PSX, no Dreamcast, and nothing else Sega-related. Their stock was all PS2 and current-gen stuff, and it looks to me like they were looking to compete with the Gamestop down the street. For someone who wants to beat the monopoly, it's a perfectly acceptable place to shop. But for what I was looking for, it wasn't all that.

If I ever open I shop, I'll make sure it's 3 floors with one floor for retro, one floor for current and one floor for arcade.

    That'll teach 'em.
