Actually, two cases come to mind. Recently, I've seen on psn that the 3d version of ridge racer 7 was released finally on the american store. So, I figured that this meant that the 3d patch was available for the retail version as well. ( which I paid 60 bucks for years ago). No such luck. What the fuck, Namco? I have to buy the game again to play in 3d? Same thing goes for Hot Shots Golf 5. Supposedly, there is a patch in japan that allows not only 3d but ps move support too. Awesome, I thought. I popped in my old hsg5 disc expecting an update. Again, fuck no? So, I ask, what is with these companies ignoring the American audiences with these seemingly basic updates? Wouldnt it increase sales in the end run? Fuck, if you think about it, they probably sold more here than in japan.(with their ps3 marketshare being really shitty are the beginning of the gen) Any thoughts
You think that's bad? In Japan we get next to fuck all Xbox 360 stuff. Less add ons, lest "apps", less XBOX Live games. Xbox users in Japan really get screwed over. But on the plus side, unlike Sony we can buy from any market place we want for gaming stuff. Media apps on the other hand are exclusive to each area due to IP restrictions. fine if you have a dynamic IP though Yakumo
Well, for PSN games you just need to create a PSN account for a different region, then you can buy them from the store for that region.
