Knowing many people are from various other countries, I was curious if anyone knew some good rappers that don't rap in English. Artists and album names would be nice. I assume it will happen sometime, so people can ask for good foreign artists in genre's besides rap, I don't care. Thanks in advance.
i don't like rap to say the truth, but there's this rap group that my brother's listening to, named loco locass. Like i said, i don't like rap, but this one is listenable. They try new things, new beats, and aren't like this kind of shit you see on the tv, american Pop rapers, that speak about how rich and cool they are, how do they kill someone or how do they remove the pants of a girl ''just a little bit''. Those kind of rapers try to get a false image of them, To look like criminals or mean, big bad dudes, but all this is made from shitty marketing. Loco locass, on the other hand, is a group of white rapers that speak about politics and all. They know history, and even talk about it in their music. They're very knowledgeable and know what they're talking about, you know? No american ''bling- bling'' marketing. (sorry if i offend anyone by saying this.) Oh, their album is called ''Amour Oral''. You don't want to translate that one.
There's a whole bunch of French rappers that rap mostly in French. Apparently, I don't know any references ...
No offense cahaz, but I kinda want to keep the whole bling bling, ho's, cars arguement out of this. Although most would probably agree with you, it could lead to some arguements. South park mexican is some good spanish rap. Just limewire "french rap" "japanese rap or whatever, listen to a few songs, and if you likey, then buy the album. There is some hilarious french rap so be sure to check that out.
Hip Hop is big in Russia, Ukraine, and in the Yugoslavian area of Europe. Spanish rap, well at least Puerto Rican rap has its own name, Ragaton.
In the VERY early 90s there was this very cheesy mexican rap group called "Caló", that you have to know Spanish to actually get, but was quite humorous. It's embarassing to say I actually liked them, when I was like 11 years old. Ew. More mexican rap/hip hop stuff could be "Control Machete" who had very cool stuff when they were starting, and "Molotov" that are very vulgar but had good political sense some years ago. Once again, you might need to know some Mexican Spanish and Mexican Culture stuff to fully get it, but the music is okay anyway.

Try ''groove grave'', and ''bonzaion'', this is my brother's advice. ''liberez-nous des liberaux'' isn't bad either, but they're talking against what the gourvernement of quebec is doing, so it won't hit you as much as someone from my province would be. You can still try though. that's real rap though, not that pop-rap criminal gangstar from the US, (or like others would say, that's no BS) be warned.

i was talking about THAT group, not the french rap in general. And there's a diff between european french rap and american french rap too. Surprizingly, european french rap almost always sound more like that US rap you can hear everywhere.
The VGM is right cahaz. Also, lets not forget that their business is to entertain. They spice up their music to make it entertaining to the target audience. As for my liking of rap, I don't particularly care for it, but I don't hate it. I'll listen to some rap. One of my favorite groups is Deltron 3030. And though they aren't technically rap, I also like Gorillaz and The Transplants.

Well, the old , but still cool Rockers By Choice raps in Danish, amd there songs has a point of view (not just the "yo motherfucker you suck mega cock bitch" kinda view) And they had political views about South Africa, when the apartheid regime was there. And they had a song called "Sig Nej Til Narkotika" (say no to drugs/narcotics) And "Sikker Ruin" (directlt translation sure ruin) , and that songis about Cocain and the addiction.
