This is a compilation video I made, featuring caravans from 1985-1993
the year Hi-TEN bomberman was used as the main event.

    Enjoy this rare game footage!

From what a Japanese pal told me, it was a "voyage of hudson corporation" on the move to different locations. :p

It strikes me as a very western type thing and uncommon for Japan.

Imagine a "Resident evil caravan" moving around Japan, with special limited edition prize games.... slobber...

You shoukd buy the rest of the games and that includes Gunhead to the naysayers haha! They are all great but Final Soldier is the rocketh one...imo of course.

I play them somewhat slowly and methodical, i get worn out if im zooming around the screen.

Wow... just wow. I'd never thought I'd see footage of the Hudson Caravan stuff. Thanks ASM!

I must admit, watching those kids play Star Soldier, I realise now why I sucked at that game.

Great video. Brought back memories of when I would have marathon runs of Truxton, and Raiden.

I really want Gunhed but it seems to go for more than I want to pay...maybe I should track down the US version...

It always seemed like a Soldier game to me.

    Yeah, awesome video!
I actually never saw the Super Star Soldier Caravan Shooting... but I really enjoyed it, also because I've been practicing the 2min Mode of SSS a lot as well. Nice to see how popular these shooters were in the late 80s/early 90s.

firstly, the screen used in hi-ten isn't a plasma, last time I checked they didn't exist back then,

second, even 480p was considered HD i think back in the day.

Awesome footage nevertheless. Very nostalgic. Reminds one of how games *should* be. Raw and addictive with clear sounds that burn into your head.

Yep, in the early 90's or even very late 80's NHK were doing 480p TV via their sat' stations BS1 and BS2 or as I call them Bull Shit 1 and 2 since that's all they ever broadcast, shit  They now call it BS Hi-Vision since they now do "real" HD TV

100% wrong, they had plasma TV's in 1993.

You're not going to get the degree of viewing and brightness as seen in the video on a TV like
    a projection television.

So if it not a plasma, it has to be CRT. However, and I am not aware of anyone that has made 16:9 tubes
    bigger than 35 inches.

From what I read, it's a prototype plasma screen. (1035i)
