Alright, I should be getting a delivery by Friday. If the copy I bought from ebay is censored (which zombie's head doesn't fly off after kicked by Jill), then I'll have to return it and get another one off of ebay again. I'll keep tracking down the uncensored U.S. PS1 copy of RE3 with Dino Crisis demo!

 

Don't just return something because it isn't what you want. That would be messed up.

 

If only Hcloud13 would give the ISO copy of his uncensored U.S. PS1 version of RE3...

Yeah, as said, returning an official copy of the game to a seller who (surely) states that he is selling a copy of RE3 would be an awful thing to do. Now, if he states "RARE Biohazard 3 with Soccer Ball Heads", and then it was the same copy, THEN you could complain and return it. Doing so just because you are seeking some weird version (that I personally have never heard of) would be inexcusable.

 

They accept returns on ebay!

 

Perhaps but most people aren't going to believe a return reason like this. If they even know what you're talking about.

 

This is Capcom USA's fault! If they hadn't censored the U.S. version of Resident Evil 3 because of zombie decapitation kick, we'd be happier!

 

We'd be happier if you didn't preemptively tell us that you will return a copy of RE3 to a seller who has done nothing wrong and was only trying to make a legit transaction.

Hi guys, I have biohazard 3 PC, first version not the recent sourcenext re-release, it's thai language and since I heard some of the first psx oriental releases being uncensored, I tested it, after kicking various heads, at least one rolled away with blood. I'm prone to think the animation is buggy and it doesn't always trigger properly, maybe it's random on purpose.

 

yeah when the RE3 us version for the ps1 came out I had this version and it really had the kicking heads thing you mentioned. It was triggered often. I cared not much about this back in the year. I thought it was a standard feature. Now I wish that I still had this version. Must be a special version nowadays because no one know's about it or not that many folks.

 

Look...it's not that I don't believe you but users Joehrex/Hcloud13 already flooded various forums with this argument and after years, still no "legendary" uncensored psx release popped up I still believe the majority of websites that officially state all US psx releases as censored.

A lot of people claimed having western uncensored copies but usually all resulted as misunderstandings, and probably you are confused too, if a zombie grabs your legs Jill will always kick his head no matter what release you got, but in the censored version the zombie head "breaks": no football-zombie-head flying away but broken head attached to the body. This is more realistic imho, and it's still gory, but they usually call this a censored version

I don't know why Joehrex was so dead set on an uncensored US version existing. There was also a guy who long ago always went on about a special limited edition of Resident Evil 1 on Sega Saturn from Hong Kong he once saw, which had some additional scenes or something, then (among others) used screens from a European PS1 trailer to justify his claim.

ANYWAY, hcloud made a fake video to troll Joehrex, so no proof of this has ever appeared.

EETFUK, no offence, but.... It's funny that everybody who has something like this no longer has it..? Are you sure you didn't have a Japanese import or something? Perhaps even a bootleg copy?

 

I got it from an russian guy and it was a bootleg back then. But how should someone modified this like 17 years ago? Anyway we have no evidence for this crap so let it loose and go on with what ever..

 

Yeah, so it must have been either a bootleg of a pre-release build, or another version than NTSC-U/C.
