Dodonpachi Dai-ou-jou Black Label one of only 100 produced, a rare item on its own but finding a complete Kit like mine is not something you come across every day.
Holy shit... I thought you had the board only. O_O Indeed, that is a nice feat. So glad I don't like DOJ enough to buy this. Now to get the poster! Np. This might be worth mentioning. As stated it the sountracks thread, The Panzer Dragoon Memorial Album is apparently quite a bitch to find. I bought it when it first came out. Dumb luck that, but glad I did.

Expensive, yes. Rare, er no. If I had 100Yen for every copy I saw yesterday, I could buy at least a second hand PS3 game... Even saw two new copies. ^_^;
True but there are rare items and there are rare items. For example if you won the lottery and came to Japan with the sole purpose of say buying a Megadrive collection then you could probably buy 95% of the released Megadrive catalogue and apart from WWF RAW and Wonder MIDI you could buy all the other 'Rare' games. Other games you would struggle very much to get would be things which are hard to find but not expensive and therefore not 'Rare', some of the Koei and EA Games would be in that. Put it this way I would be more impressed if someone said 'I found a copy of FIFA Soccer on the Megadrive' rather then 'I found a copy of Maximum Carnage'. The Saturn would be the same, you could easily find the vast majority of the 'Rare' stuff and struggle with some of the not rare stuff. In the UK you would probably struggle to find more then 80% of games, although you could get most of the 'Rare' games quite easily.
The rarest thing i own is a final fantasy VIII book called "Final Fantasy VIII Memorial Album" I got it from a strange shop for like US$ 20
GaijinPunch's law: Everything turns up at some point. You then get into that whole "it's not really rare... just nobody selling" syndrome. I happen to know there are hundreds of brand spanking new Dodonpachi DOJ arcade posters recently put into circulation. Only 1 that I know of has made it to Yahoo Japan auctions. Is it rare? Loads of people were able to buy them just a few months ago... and those are reprints (or dead stock from ages ago). Still can't buy one now.
Which is why as far as Saturn goes I think my pre-production prototype machine is the only one that I think rare in my collection...
Mostly downloaded stuff: Ultima VI, Zack McCracken, 4-D Boxing, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The only "boxed" games I have for it are Afterburner and some Japanese rpg/dating sim. I have Ghouls n' Ghosts on the Supergrafx, and Tenchi for the PC-FX I have no games for the M2, except for the ROMS for the Konami arcade games, which were released on a torrent some time ago.
naah i HAD the board only, but i traded it off when i found a Kit. yeah im up for a poster too but im not sure i want to pay +JPY100K for it... but i guess well see when the time comes i find it strange too that none of the regular DDP DOJ posters from the festival have turned up neither on yahoo/ebay nor any forums.:shrug:
Ok well I take back the 360 dev kit,that is not the rarest thing I have. Here is my pride and joy,a rare and hard to find 1968 Fender Bronco Guitar.I got this guitar when I was around 16 or 17,the guitar plays and sounds great,I use it sometimes when playing live shows.
Pikkon - Nice Fender... i miss my Pre-CBS Mustang in Olympic White which still had teh cloth covred wiring...... Bu t financial needs must i guess!
Damn,you had a Pre-CBS Mustang ,what year was it.The guitar I really want is a rare Fender Bass VI,I want to convert it to a electric guitar,but there so expensive.
