I collected Hudson Computer Designers school factory sealed (just some weeks ago) and I saw pictures of a new Megami Tengoku Campaign Present. I was told that Darius Alpha was made sealed, but I have not seen one before. :( But I think that all not for sale/campaign items which Hudson/NEC was apart of/involved in were sealed.

I am happy that Thibaut is still collecting PC Engine.

That's fantastic! Would you post pictures of it? How much did you pay for it?
Last one i saw was like 3 years ago on YJA, but it was used, of course.

Neither do i. I highly doubt, given the quantity of used copies (often the very same ones, switching hands) that were sold on Internet for 15 years now, that is was ever factory sealed, but that FS Gold Hucard proves me wrong because that'd be even more impossible.
    But that's just basic mathematics.

I edited post with the picture on the previous page. I think you cannot see seal clearly because I put it in a protective sleeve, but it does have the pull away strip, too. It was the first time I had at a chance to purchase it in many years of collecting. I am not a sealed collector normally but that's just how it ended up being. I think I was just so surprised, and the thought of a graduate never opening a game I think they might of made I just could not pass on it. I think for price I can only just say it was a lot, but I have been saving up for a while. ^_^

Indeed... amazing stuff. I love the prototype Ghosts'n Goblin board and Cybertank. Amazing hibaihins @ Adol and Juste.

    @Adol
I think the last time Gold Youkaidouchuuki was for sale was in 2009. It was used and went for 300k Yen if I remember correctly, but maybe my mind is a bit blurry... I saved the pictures from the auction though (crappy as always on Yahoo, may as well had "Junk" in the title).
I'm afraid I know nothing about the background of this game, can you elaborate a bit? Was it a prize game for some achievement or a promo item? And if you don't mind me asking, you didn't sell your collection afterall? (or maybe Youkaudouchuuki cost 1 Million ^^? Just kidding ;-))

To my knowledge it was realeased in Europe as well, 'cause my friend had one, and as far as I know, it wasn't import.

Well, I can only say that ad a friend in school who had one, and he had, at the time, never been outside Denmark, nor anyone he knew, and he told me he picked it up in the local toy store just a mile away.

And he played European games on it, so I find it highly unlikely it wasn't for sal in Europe.

When did your friend buy it? It came only out in April 1998 in Japan, only half a year later there would've been the GB Color in Europe so Nintendo didn't bother with another variant for the European market.

So in case your friend did indeed have a GBL and bought it after April 1998, couldn't it have been an import that was sold by this store? The GBL is regionfree like any other GameBoy so he could play European games... however it's certain that there was never a European release. You're the first person to ever mention this to me and apart from that it was never covered in any of the magazines of the time including the official Nintendo Magazine.

I have that one in mind as well, but it didn't even have the "black" part that comes on the front of the game, and yet it fetched 300k.

IIRC, it was a "prize" for thanking namcot people developping on pc engine, since namcot was the very first "3rd company" to develop on PC Engine, after Hudson Soft. very few copies were produced and given away to the attending people to this special meeting prior to the coming out of the very first "3rd company" PCE title, Yôkai Dôchûki.

It is pending,i have 2-3 serious offers (several hundreds of thousands), but they have yet to pay. The original "buyer" (i mean the ebay canadian guy who clicked on it) never paid, but 3-4 museums (japanese,us) and private guys seem serious. I'll see..that didn't even include that item, yes :)

I don't know for sure when he bought it, think he was eight or nine, which makes it some 14 years ago?...
Sure it could've been an import, but I highly doubt that, as it was a tiny locale store run by an old lady, she pretty much only had what her one or two suppliers had on their list.

But I could be wrong on some details, as I were the same age, he's like 20 days older than me.
The only thing I know for sure, was that he had the thing.

    Right, I just checked.

    [IMG][IMG]
These were saved by me in July 2008 by the way.

I also found these pictures, not sure where they are from. Is that your copy? I may have them from Thibauts website, but I'm not sure.
    [IMG][IMG]

Ah, that's good to know. Thanks for the explanation... a real treasure then from the very early beginning of the PC-Engine era.

So you really want to sell everything? A 6-digit sum is a good excuse to let them go, but considering that you're probably not really in an urgent need of the money, don't you think that it'll be hard to see all these things go? Or are you just going to buy a vintage Ferrari and start growing wine on a farm in the Provence? If so I'd understand ^^

    Yes,that's the same copy.

How do you know i'm not in need of money? ^_^
Unfortunately, money doesn't grow on trees, it's been 10 years now i haven't seen a positive amount on my bank accounts, maybe it's time to see one :)

And the auction was hardly "everything", i'd still have thousands of other games.

Just received this in the mail. I actually found a loose copy, without the book and missing the other book inside the DVD case too, while on vacation in Japan recently.

I passed up on that copy and was hating myself for it. But in the end I think it was fate or something, as I ended up getting this (still sealed too). :highly_amused:
