If we're going there, me too. Picked it up new at KMart. Also got ahold of a Quadra 900. Nothing special, but I can't believe a thrift shop was going to trash it, so we got it and a monitor for free. No hard disk, but we have a dead PowerPC that has the same drive... now we need an ethernet card or an AAUI adaptor so we can do a network install from an old, fruity iMac. Also came with a keyboard, mouse. I list it here because I don't see one on eBay, and a 700 is going for 125 bucks, 950 for 425. Have already booted it and it boots fine, though.
My collection is kind of sucky, rarest thing I own is Trip world for the GB with the manual (JP version)
I think my sealed Sega Rally N-Gage is my most valuable game. I had no idea it was a rare game when I bought it, I've never even owned an N-Gage but it was $5, so I figured I'd at least double my money if I ever sold it. It turns out some people are willing to pay 90 times what I paid for it!
@ deseoparadise - Please. For an FMT game, Loom is really rather common. @ stuntpeople - Great score though for $8 haha. (Great game too!)
Uh, I don't know, I have pirated games which I don't want, they don't count but of course were produced in fewer numbers than any retail game All joking aside I guess Skies of Arcadia complete and mint for Dreamcast.
I have development PC version of Gears of War 3 and unreleased game Nano Strike, and someother things.
Hm probably my betatest discs for Ultima Online Third Dawn and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. But then again, I had to look much harder and longer for my boxed 3DO Blaster or Matrox Mystique 4MB memory expansion...which shouldn't be all that rare.
Lucky i paid considerably more then 5 for mine but only about 1/3 of the last auction price very very rare game i have been searching for another copy for dirt cheap everywhere to no luck at all ! althrough i have found the likes of Tiger woods ,puyo puyo, tony hawk , sonic n and red faction for 2 dollars or less why i search for more copies of this
Did you find that locally?! Pretty good find if you did (I'd assume from the classification). Finally someone else from Melbourne is here
Yes I bought it around 2005/2006 in Melbourne when Myer had just been acquired by an international company and since the new owner got the existing stock free (with purchase of a multi-million dollar company), they were clearing out everything for below the original cost. I wonder if Sega Rally was only sold in Myer, I'd love to go back in time and check all the stores. I bought so many games and accessories during that time. I was in the store when they brought out about 30 x Sony 8MB PS2 memory cards and when i saw the $5 each price, I grabbed them all (they were very easy to sell for at least $20 each), a mother saw me at the counter with them and said that's cheap, so I caved and let her have one. I was spoilt for choice, I could have easily bought something other than N-Gage games. I think the main reason I bought Sega Rally was because it was the only N-Gage game that didn't have duplicates in the bargain bin. I'm sure some of my rarest video games/consoles aren't worth much since they are so rare, no one knew about them to have any interest. I have a boxed Ghost Busters cartridge for C64. That's not too common but they usually sell for around $40. I could sell my unboxed Conker's Bad Fur Day N64 game for more than that and that's much easier to find. Here's a pong light gun console I bought a few months ago: tv-game-centre-model-15: http://imgur.com/a/VapLA Another pong console (this one definitely isn't rare, although some of the games/brand badges are): Hanimex 625-B RPG PAL pong console http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05V6d5iWvQk My CIB Incantation for SNES is rarish but there's no demand for it, so it's worth less than some common popular first party SNES games. I have the Sega Ultimate Collection Limited Edition Vinyl (not my pics). There were only about 3000 made. I have 3 of them but I don't think there's anything special about my numbers: 494, 495 and 497.
The rarest thing I own is the BIOHAZARD Trial Edition. I have two copies, one being sealed and one being open. The other thing I have is a brand new copt of the original BIOHAZARD. I also have two copies of Dracula X for the Saturn. One new, the other open.
It's either Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate Allstars or Metroid Prime Trilogy for me. Neither of them are that rare, but which of the two would be considered more rare?
