For your amusement today I present a Rayman Arena beta.
The date on the disc is 03/12/02, but the build date on the disc is "2001/09/08".

Honestly, the contents of the disc aren't that interesting. The really interesting part is actually playing it on a 'cube.

There are some serious differences between this and the final.
    It's missing the intro video.
    It has a different menu.
The loading screens are just random models from the disc.(You can stretch them by moving the control stick.)
Collisions are not well coded. (Character interactions commonly cause DSI dumps.)
    Random DSI errors.
The translations menu doesn't do anything. Game displays in English no matter what.
There is a menu that has some 'Memory card tests', but I don't have a spare memory card for testing.

Maybe some other stuff. I'll see what I remember.

    Coming soon:
the other 5 NR discs that I have.
One of which has some wii warning screens on the disc, despite being dated mid-2006 and not being a wii game.

    Don't think it matters.
I dumped it with swiss (gc-forever.com) and it opens fine in gc-tool. (check gbatemp wiki for a DL)

Wow, more GC betas! Thank you very much, can't wait for next releases!
You can load the game in Dolphin by adding .gcm at the end of the name of this game.

    Oh dear, 99 posts!

    Thanks for the screen shots!
None of my computers can even begin to emulate gamecube, so I have a hard time making good screens,
On that note, I will post some really grainy cell phone videos of one of the errors when I get around to posting another game.

Have you guys had any success with the memory card menu? You could probably watch the RAM with Dolphin to see if anything is happening.

Weird. Unreleased PAL beta of a US only game? (I'll update this post once I've tried it on my NTSC system)

That is strange. Not sure if it's pal, though. The retail NA release also lets you choose the language.

The banner that shows up in the Gamecube menu still has the Rayman M logo, which would suggest some PAL intentions on the part of the developers.

    EDIT:
    Just checked the Wiki page.
It looks like this version is very similar to the PAL PS2 version, but with some elements missing.

This might be a version that's halfway between the PAL release and the eventual US release.
    That's cooler than I thought.

Dolphin marks the game as PAL. It seems like the NA version has been created from the European one. This seems legit as the game has been released in Europe before than America and the developer (Ubisoft) is French.

Completely unrelated to the rest to the topic:
    POST NUMBER 100!!

Hmm different results on real hardware than emulation.
Console defaults the video NTSC, yet black screens forced PAL. While yeah Dolphin defaults it PAL.
Good thing is progressive mode seems OK.

Its save file icon is a placeholder. "Greensburg Heiho" I've never heard of.

Heiho is the Japanese name of Shy Guy from the Mario series.

Thanks for uploading that video. I don't have to tools to do any video that nicely.
And thanks for the shout-out on youtube! I feel famous.

Any chance you feel like uploading videos of the other games I posted?

How did you get that crazy graph to show up around the 10:00 mark? Was that random or did you trigger it?
And what's with the camera switching?
I must admit I've only played the game a few times.
