With Lost being over, it's time to for me move on to something else. I'm currently watching Breaking Bad, but I'm all caught up and need another series to fill in the week gap between episodes. Anyways, I'd prefer if it was a series that is already over, as I wouldn't have to wait each week for a new episode, but either is fine. Also, I'm not picky about what type of show it is--just name the series and tell me why you like it. Thanks, PS Choices so far: Prison Break 24 Fringe Grey's Anatomy Dexter M*A*S*H Burn Notice The Big Bang Theory The Wire Battlestar Galactica East Bound and Down Curb Your Enthusiasm Weeds Scrubs. 30 Rock How I Met Your Mother The Shield Smith Heist Thief United States of Tara Oz Code Monkeys Game Over Batman Beyond The Pacific Spartacus Blood and Sand Party Down The Sopranos Prison Break Home Movies Arrested Development Band of Brothers Black Books Deadwood Dilbert Firefly Garth Merenghi's Darkplace King of the Hill Life on Mars (UK) The Office The Office: An American Workplace Rome Spaced Becker The I.T. -Prison Break: The first 2 seasons are great, then the series jumped the shark. -24: Jack Bauer, nuff said -Fringe: It's by far the best show I've seen in a while, it's like the XFiles. The storyline is great, and it has overall great characters. -Grey's Anatomy: My guilty pleasure -Dexter: A murderer that only kills bad people, did I mention that he works for the police?
I just started Dexter. It is indeed good. 1: Battlestar Galactica 2: East Bound and Down 3: The Wire is dope as shit as well... so funny how many English actors are in that show. 4: Curb Your Enthusiasm 5: Weeds 6: Big Bang Theory I find quite funny. It's actually catered to dorks like us. Howard Walowitz' fashion alone is worth the price of admission. None of those are as good as Breaking Bad though. Last night's episdoe -- crazy. Didn't sleep right.
Dexter Dexter Dexter! Just finished watching all 4 Seasons two days ago, simply great. Haven't been so into a series of shows in awhile.
Sorry, I meant one that is over for good. That way, I can just watch all the way through it and move on to the next series.
Big Bang Theory seasons 1 & 2 were really good, 3 doesn't quite deliver the same quality but still is very entertaining. As GP said it's actually aiming at us nerds and the characters, esp. extremely neurotic, arrogant and brilliant Sheldon, are quite interesting and original. The only downer is the background laughter, but you get used to it. 30 Rock Entertaining, not as sharp maybe as BBT but still quite nice once you got into it. The show takes place in the NBC studios in New York and illustrates the lives of the producing and directing staff. And I've been told The Wire & Dexter are great, but I haven't seen a single episode yet. I've got two seasons of Dexter in HD as well as three seasons of Wire ready to grab, so maybe I'll give it a shot once I have finished the three seasons of 30 Rock.
Lots and lots of good suggestions in the "pathetic" thread: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12143
How I met your Mother is hilarious if you ask me. Really don't understand why so many people like Big Bang Theory, it's just too much imo.
The Shield, along with The Wire, the best police series ever made. It's unfortunately really underrated now that everyone's too busy getting boners over The Wire.
Smith Heist Dexter(not over, but one of the best shows ever) Thief United States of Tara(not over but a great show) Oz Code Monkeys Game Over Batman Beyond The Pacific(miniseries) Spartacus Blood and Sand (not over but awesome) Party Down(I think it'll be the end) The Sopranos Prison Break(until the last few episodes of season 2. Everything from there blows.) Home Movies
Arrested Development Band of Brothers Black Books Deadwood Dilbert Firefly Garth Merenghi's Darkplace King of the Hill Life on Mars (UK) The Office The Office: An American Workplace (Though the first 3 seasons are the best) Rome Spaced And yes, Breaking Bad is the best show around atm, picked up Season 1 along with Generation Kill the other day .
Becker - It's kinda like Scrubs' Dr. Cox got its own series. The I.T. Crowd (UK version) - Geeky sitcom that's also for non-geeks. Just watch any episode - I can pretty much guarantee you'll be hooked. ...and since M*A*S*H's been mentioned already: Hogan's Heroes.
I only didn't mention Arrested Development b/c if you've not bothered by now, you deserve a swift kick to the cock. 30 Rock I just forgot, which I should be shot for.
