Californication, which a new season is starting in a couple of months and for animated the critic, done by some simpsons writers.
Yeah duckman was classic, a lot of people didn't realize Jason Alexander voiced Duckman (George from seinfeld). I am surprised he is not recognized for doing that show much.
Wow, all the ones i can think of have been named already ( Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Scrubs), and are all amazing shows. Havent seen Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia mentioned yet though, definately the funniest show on tv by far in my opinion, and probably my favorite comedy series of all time.
Before spending the next day or so trying to come up with a show that hasn't been mentioned yet (Seinfeld?) I've to ask: Do you meant an ongoing series? Or any series already over too?
Everybody has hit the big ones, pretty much, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, etc...but I have a few further suggestions and comments. The Big Bang Theory is crap. Here's their entire formula "Blah blah blah blah ####Dorkthing#### blah blah blah." Studio audience laugh. OHMIGOD, it's so funny that they like comic books and video games, we as an audience can feel like we're better people than them. They are lame and we are not. "Community" on NBC is excellent. Perhaps the first few episodes of the show are weak, but the rest of the season is just great. "Dr Who" (the 2005-onward series) are excellent if you like scifi. "Extras" with Ricky Gervais is hands down the best show that I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure it even tops Arrested Development in my mind.
Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! I'm quite interested in several of the shows listed. I think I may start with Dexter and see how things go from there. Either is fine. I was just stating that I would prefer one that is already over(for instance, LOST) as I can get all episodes, watch them and move on to the next series
Even thought it has been mentioned here before, I highly recommend watching Duckman, it's amazing, especially Cornfed's voice.
Yeah, I'll be sure to do that! I remember seeing a few episodes as a kid, but I didn't really have any understanding of what was going on at the time(was around 6-7).
Probably my suggestions have already been mentioned, but what the hell. For a broad variety of entertainment I'd suggest: Hung by HBO Band of Brothers The Sopranos True Blood Lie to me House Rome These are all great series and will provide you with hours of good high quality entertainment
This! This as well! If you aren't adverse to subtitles, there's a few Japanese series that are worth downloading like: My Boss My Hero Liar Game Seigi no Mikata Also might be worth downloading BBC's "Being Human" it's really superb for a vampire/werewolf/ghost in a house drama.
Hmm, I've had Flight of the Concords recommended to me, Dexter, House, Fringe, True Blood, Eastbound and Down are all good shows too IMO..
