Fifa Soccer - the first Fifa in 3D was on the 3DO Dungeons & Dragons - Slayer The HORDE Crash'n'Burn MegaRace (Lance Boyle is hilarious ) Return Fire Total Eclipse Though there are a few more that are fun to play if you're into pre-rendered on-rails-shooter
You into RPGs? Dragon Lore is a port of a PC game that runs in first-person, and it's sort of like a proto-Elder Scrolls game. I'm pretty fond of Guardian War, a chibi-styled tactical RPG that has the unique feature of doing exploration and combat on mostly the same map. The 3DO is also home to Lucienne's Quest, a pretty competent Final Fantasy clone with some nice 3D graphics for the time. Outside of RPGs, I can't get enough of Return Fire. Head-to-head vehicle combat with military hardware that's simple, but hilariously entertaining. There was a Playstation port that wasn't quite as fun and didn't include the expansion content, which is why I generally play it on the 3DO when I get the chance.
Most were already mentioned above like SSFIIT Samurai Showdown NFS Road Rash (my personal fav) Return Fire (also my personal fav) Total Eclipse You can also add the follow to the list: Gex Star Control 2 Out of This World
Super Wing Commander is also great for the 3DO. Psychic Detective is neat albeit one of the cornier FMV games.
I swear the majority of the titles are just games that were on other systems. Poor 3do looks like it didn't have anything unique only to it that made it worth it.
Let's see system exclusives that were mentioned above: -Gex -Crash'n'Burn -Lucienne's Quest? -Total Eclipse -Return Fire? (not sure if exclusive, but surely the best version if not) Then let's see games from other systems: -The need for speed (was the best version at that time) -Fifa soccer (best version at the time) -Super Street Fighter II Turbo (best arcade port out there) -Road Rash (best version ever) -Out of This World (best version at that time) -Star Control 2 (not sure) -Samurai Showdown (close enough to NG) -Wing Commander III (very good version) And so on...in that time very worth getting if you ask me, only the price tag was steep. I really don't get all the 3DO haters TBH, is everybody just echoing each other without actually having owned a 3DO at that time!? graphics wise it surely was a huge step coming from the SNES/Megadrive. And it was surely better then most other 16/32bit crap coming out around the same time like: Sega CD/32x/CD32/Jaguar/PCFX/CDI etc. Sorry I am a huge 3DO fan, if you didn't notice yet
