Working on painting my DC red. Photos below. I would have the lid done by now, but a bug landed on it and I was foolish enough to touch it. Going to wait for it to dry then sand it.

Very nice job on the controller. I'm looking forward to seeing what the console looks like. What are you using to cover up the logos and stickers?

Looks like standard painters tape Yakumo.

I have to say, that is one of the best paintjobs Ive seen here.

Use a toothbrush to clean the buttons. They will look like new.

Wow, that's really good. I wish I had the confidence to paint one of my dreamcast cases. I did sand one down once, then realised I couldn't afford any paint.

Wow! Thanks everyone! I do realize the controller buttons are a bit dirty, but I threw together the controller for the picture. The controller is by far the easiest to paint, since most of the parts come off. The body is drying as we speak. Pics will up tomorrow, if not tonight.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I used Direct to Plastic paint this time. Works WAY better than enamel.

Damn fine job there, much nicer than anything I could do at this point.

A clear coat would make it nice and shiny but then it'd show fingerprints like a freshly waxed Ferrari.

For some reason I'm going to assume he was replying to neozeed; however, based off of your controller, I think that in the end, your DC is going to look the most professional. Honestly, that is a GREAT job on the controller; if you ever offered custom paint jobs for the DC, sign me up.

That paint job is suberp! What paint are you using? Krylon looks like garbage compared to it... Are you using automotive paint?

Small tip..The Dreamcast logo on the console, If you are careful can be removed ,once the console is painted and dry it will stick again no problem.
    Saves trying mask it.
    Same for the sticker underneath.

This reminds me to keep my eye out for a proper metal basin large enough to finish the dye job I was doing for one of my DCs.

    Looks great in red!
