damn this looks hot, it might just as well be a dreamcast direct title. I wish sega would acknowledge them & let em put the swirl on the box, this one really deserves it http://www.redspotgames.com/
I already have the regular edition on pre-order for what seems like absolutely ages now. But after seeing the Limited Edition earlier today, I pre-ordered that too.... I have to say that it really does look very well presented, and I'm quite impressed by the little ship model. Pity it's been delayed until a couple of days before Xmas though. I don't reckon I'll be playing it until a fair few days into January, due to our shite postal service
^The most advanced console I own is a gamecube I simply can't justify $90 for one game with my budget. I just spent $19 on a sports DC, and I've gotten used to picking up games for around $5 - $8 and $20-$30 for rarer imports like Rez. I just let a copy of Ikaruga go on ebay after it reached above $30, just because I've seen copies of it go in the $20s before. DC was supposed to be my cheap console to collect for, I've got a mental block on spending the amount for this game, that I could otherwise use to pick up maybe 5 or 10 old titles  I'm also not so sure this limited edition is going to hold its value at $90 given the state of the DC collectors market. I think the only game I've seen people actually pay over the $80 range for are the limited edition Borderdown sets. Sure, there are plenty of games like sealed Ikarugas and Chaos Field that are priced over $100 on ebay, but I never see them sell.
I normally pass on limited editions unless they are really cool or special in some way. Oh, and I must like the game too The only other limited editions I've bought in the last two years were Alan Wake and Forza 4. Yakumo
Seems like the game is delayed again, too bad because is was really looking forward to play this one. Hopefully they manage a Q1 2012 release. www.redspotgames.com
The game does look a bit lack luster, Dux and Last Hope (esp the "We know we released a shite game, so we'll correct the mistakes, give you a little more but effectively sell you the same game again, thanks." edition) were awful games and although the graphics look better then gameplay still looks stiff and amiga like... anyone think it is funny that the limited edition set even after all this time consists of 3 poor renders and no phsyical product of any description, surely there would be prototypes of the little model at least...
Yet another crappy shooter for people who'll buy any game as long as it's the LAST DREAMCAST GAME EVER FOR REALS THIS TIME.
MEH I'm almost done with the Dreamcast well almost done BUYING for the Dreamcast. I'll be busy with Norma for awhile ..... Then I'm getting a Jaguar.
That won't take very long to explore. Anyways, I kind of liked Last Hope, so I may pre-order this with my tax return. Though nothing on the DC touches Border Down.
Just to be fair, LH Pink Bullets was a lot better than the original Last Hope. This being said, I still dislike it and never really played it. Sturmwind sure looks like something that has not evolved since 1989, but the outstanding graphics make it worth owning I believe. Even compared to full-scale arcade releases like Border Down, the render graphics look breathtaking. It might play like a pain in the ass, but I'm really psyched to see all that stuff moving in VGA resolution. They said on a German board that the models as well as the blue boxes are all finished, they are just waiting for the CDs, manuals and cases. Too bad they are facing this kind of trouble, seems to be a stigma with indie developers. @7Force For indie-games, most DC shooters are not crappy. DUX is actually kind of fun to play, although it looks really dull and is not competitive due to the unforgivable scoring bug. Last Hope.. well ok LH PB, I wrote about it above. I still think none of the LH's are fun though. Fast Striker was quite good. Compare it to comparable shooters on PSN or XBLA. Soeldner X sucks fucking balls, what a piece of graphics-whoring shit.
