In the northwest corner of Pennsylvania (fairly accessible to Cleveland, OH / Pittsburgh, PA / Buffalo, NY) there's a great game shop named Endless Entertainment.

Not a whole lot in terms of import or the EXTREMELY rare, but they have an impeccable, large and well rounded assortment. With a staff comprised of unbiased mostly "old-school" long time gamers.
It's a great place! They're doing fairly well too, so well in fact that I believe they do more business then either the EBoutique or GStop in town, and heck they've opened a second location! =)

There are a few places in Sydney if you look, especially (primarily) in China town. There is one in Haymarket above the Paddys market, this is fairly expensive but they have other stuff like models. If you go into the main street of China town as you walk along you'll see a few game stores in side allys. Anyway I buy all my stuff via the internet as it tends to be cheaper and you get a better selection.

    Cheers

    Luke

that place over charge and I can get many of them cheaper by private importing from Japan... it's just bit of hassle that's all... and not worth while unless I can ship around 100+ titles via SAL...

Take a lot of older stuff...but depends on the branch as to what they take...........officially PAL only...but the staff will take stuff unofficially. Same mate above had someone bring in a PS2 TEST that he took and part traded for a new one as womans son couldn`t play DVD`s on it. :smt042

We have no shortage of import game shops 'round here (DC Metro Area).

My personal favorite is Pandora's Cube. They're starting to slip a bit though, I had to call them and tell them that GT4 had been released in Japan on the 28th, and at first they didn't believe me, lol.

Hmmm, we've also got Dream Wizards, Creature Zone, and a few others whose names I can't recall.

What we seriously lack is normal independent used game stores, i.e. places to stumble across NES bargains and such. Nothing. I went to college in Pittsburgh, and they had TONS of them...
