The leaked demo was meant for retail systems. This is a development build. And use ppsspp 1.1.1

    Thanks for the info!

Playing it on real hardware would be nicer, though.
It should be possible to run it on a retail system with CFW, some people even reported that they got it to work.

And same applies if you want to run it on Vita with Adrenaline eCFW.
Just enable the 'Force high memory layout' in RecoveryMenu under Advanced. :)

    thanks for sharing too!

I just wanted to add that the game is working now that I upgraded to 6.60 Pro. :)
This makes me remember how impressed I was by the E3 2006 trailer for Silent Hill Origins, I loved those living meat things in the sink and the monster on the meat hook...

I really like what Climax UK did with the game, but it still bugs me that the meat factory / butcher shop level wasn't kept.

By the way, does anybody know what platform this trailer was made for:

It looks a bit too detailed for PSP. I found this video while I was looking for the E3 2006 trailer.

That trailer was made in the lead-up to e3 2006, so Silent Hill Origins PSP. It wasnt running on a PSP at the time. I found the last part, with Travis, in the files, with a date of April 2006. Actually, I just found an even earlier version from February 2006

    Edit:

    Thanks for sharing, Borman!
This sure is fascinating! It's rare to get this much insight into the early stages of a commercial game's development.

That's the Solent build. I have three versions of it. It is older than this leaked build.

How can I reach out to Borman for the Silent Hill betas?
Also, does anyone have any info on Resident Evil Portable?
