Why do people love Jaguar? Beats the hell out of me. I suppose each to his own.

M2 seems to have an egomaniac attraction factor imho, it's become a bit of the dreaded e-penis comparison device at this point.

I don't have an M2 but if people are wanting this to be released then I am willing to throw in some $$$ for the community.

I'd help support the release too, if it comes to that.

I can't tell if you're mocking the quote you responded to or really are being arrogant :p

not sure if it was ever discussed, but I do recall High Voltage Software in Chicago showing me (back in the day during a visit) a simultaneous 4-player fighting game for the M2. It was running IIRC, and looked pretty good. Was supposed to be a Tekken killer.

Not sure what happened to it or if any protos leaked.

No offense, but that's not a good start in a community. Even though I'm pretty sure that the dev software you're talking about isn't really special (probably something that came with the SDK anyway), you should either not talk about it at all if you can't release it, or, if you want to talk about it, prove what you're saying with screenshots, videos, etc.

You've got my $20, though I know it's not much. I could build another Starfox 2 cart for that!

I don't see the difference between someone on here speaking of their own posessions they can't release due to their own personal obligations, and someone we don't know who won't release it either. It's not as though he is being selfish about it.

Honestly this seems like the kind of thing that ought to be in a private collection. I am all for documenting and preserving obscure items, but there really is nothing we can do with something that has no means by which to even be integrity checked.

Some things are meant to be in a good collection. Not all collectors are evil hoarding bastards. Nearly every single piece of software released here has come through a decent and benevolent collector who was willing to release some of his collection to the right people at the right time. I say let it sit and perhaps it will resurface someday when there is a way to enjoy such a release.

    fixed.

People like it because there's so little known about it.

It seems somebody has cursed me and M2 stuff avoids me... :banghead:

If there was enough interest from people who were actually capable of using the software I would be willing to throw some money at this.

I personally think there are more important releases we should be pooling money for than something very few would ever be able to experience or see a benefit from. Especially for a poor fighting game.

The demo is interesting, but not important.

Don't worry, this won't happen anyway due to stupid x-cult people.
