Yeah idiots sent me a new 360 that is 4 days short of sharing the same Manufacture date as my original 360. this new one is quiet and alittle heavier. Anyways I want to save my self a call to support so to beable to play all my old XBLA games with out having to be logged into live do I just redownload them from download history?
You don't have to download them at all. They should still be on your hard drive, unless you deleted them. When I sent my 360 in, they told me to only send the system itself without the HD or PSU or anything. And I think they're already unlocked as long as you still have them.
Well they were showing up as demos. So I just redownload them to get them to lock to the new console?
No, you have to log into Xbox Live in order to use it. Otherwise, you can call MS and they sometimes give you codes to truely lock it so you can play offline. Key word is sometimes. Thats so people cant just share their account, and allow people to play offline. And Ive had a console that was from last August, sent it back, and got a launch system.
I guess I have to set 2 hours aside tomorrow to get through to Customer service AGAIN. I did delete all my old Live arcade games soon as I hooked the new one up.
The problem is your arcade games and content are locked to the console they were purchased on. Since your have your old HD on new hardware, you must be connected to live with your gamertag to essentially "validate" your ownership of the content. Like others have said, call MS and they "might" give you codes to dl the games to your new box.
