    Default posts-per-page limit just jumped up from 20-per-page (this was two pages for me before). I can now see all 40 posts on one page. Not sure what the new default is.


    EDIT: It's 40.
    EDIT 2: I had my limit set to 40, actually, but it was defaulting to 20 before, so it looks like that was fixed.


    ASSEMbler, what can you tell us about how old the last backup was? Will you be able to restore more of what was lost? Some threads are outdated by ~3 weeks+, so it'd be nice to see them recovered.


    EDIT 3: Well that was some scary breakage. Also, the logged in bug is back again, and "Save" doesn't work for quick edit. Save worked after refreshing.

    clearly we still have issues.

    I may just move the site back to http instead of https as vbulletin seems problematic with it.

    Perhaps an older version of vBulletin doesn't have this problem? Just a suggestion.

    Also, the posts-per-page is jumping around again. I don't think it's an issue with what the default is, though. I think it's just an issue if one's settings are not "Default".

    Keeps logging me out and asking me to login again, errors on login, then succeeds, goes to redirect, then back to login page, I am on Windows 10 Preview so that could be it.

    it's all related to https /ssl

    Basically, vbulletin is hard to config for it (for me at least) Added in that I have no dedicated domain name this time for the server, and it gets more complex. To configure assemblergames.com means the whole server, not just the hosted domain / it's IP like last time.

    I just rewrote the index.php files to redirect properly, I had written them wrong, which cause the incorrect redirect on login.

    I whitelisted all variables, like www (which we never used before), http, and https. So far https is not working on all parts of the site, which is probably because it's not a wildcard certificate.
    Wildcards are anything.assemblergames.com. We only paid for assemblergames.com. If I want to do www.assemblergames.com I need another cert. I may just move the whole install back to HTTP
    and it should work better.

    It's a lot to learn and I am happy the forum works, but I clearly need some expert advice as I am not going to play with the install as it's working.
    I am entertaining hiring vbulletin paid support to check out the configuration.

    For now: I believe all logins now work, all redirects work.

    As to restoring some data, I am really worried about corruption in them from flipped bits, whatnot.

    Please continue to log bugs, preferably with a screenshot.

    I'm gonna get a sale thread going to try to raise some money for the site, so maybe that'd help get a wildcard certificate at the least.

    As far as restoring missing data with corruption etc., how about picking a thread or a sub-forum to restore data to (IF you can do it selectively. I've never personally used vBulletin, but I believe this could be done with phpBB) just to test it out? It'll take a ton of time, but perhaps incremental restorations for missing content would be a good idea to help avoid corruption, and if you limit what you start with, you can monitor the results easier.

    See, now, the bigger problem here is that you have a key-logger in your computer. =3

    https seems to be working properly now. I'm no longer getting the 'partially' secure error.

    EDIT: Now it's gone back again...

    Not really a bug, since chat was shut down, but this is amusing: [​IMG]

    Site is still loading a bit slow, though. The full post editor is sluggish when loading.
