a4h.com One of my Halo 2 loving friends came over today, and since my internet now works properly, he just had to show me a certain site. ABOUT SOFTMODDING YOUR XBOX. His whole clan consists of cheaters and taking down their cheat resources would be an awesome way to help out the XBL community. Is it possible that notifying Bungie or Microsoft of this site would cause them to get it removed? I really hope so, because cheating is pathetic. :die
It works sometimes. When it does it has a black background and a Ninja or something. I guess a site like this gets lots of traffic, because of all the cheating 12 year olds that think they "PWN" for manipulating a glitch or using hacks.
partly the reason why I played halo 2 online fo all of seven days, and then got tired of the hacks. Never buying an xbox game based on online play ever again.
Trust me, Halo 2 is the MAIN problem for cheaters. I have played TS: FP for ages and never once experienced a hacker.
Who the fuck cheats on online games anyway? What good do you get out of that? I mean, the point of playing online is interaction and testing one's skill and all. There has to be no satisfaction behind this. Now, however, softmodding the Xbox is something I'd do if I owned one, you know, for the emulators and multimedia programs and whatnot. I wish the PS2 could be softmodded too. What I don't get is that Xbox-Live bans you if your box is modded, does it not? I've also heard about Xbox-Live wiping out your soft-mod, but I cannot confirm whether this is the case, as I don't have an Xbox. How does this cheat work?
Not all of us with softmodded Xboxes are cheaters . I do, however, use the cache editor for Halo. There is nothing like seeing someone's jaw drop after you start shooting rockets out of an assault rifle... "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT?"
The people that cheat are the people that suck VERY BADLY at Halo 2, and dont want to get embarassed. Another thing I hate about XBL is getting kicked from the game when because Im kicking their asses. This is a big problem on Far Cry. Even after you spend FOREVER downloading thier map, if they are childish and hate losing they will kick you. Its Ok when the hosts arent crybabies. This has happened to me on Halo 2, TS:FP, Far Cry, Battlefront (once), and several other games. If you have a modchip, Microsoft will do an update ever so often, and if they find you they will ban you. I dont know about wiping out your softmod, i'll ask my friend.
Eh, they dont search to find you Just dont go on live with the chip or mod on, and youre safe. It wont wipe anything, just ban your eeprom usually (though there are some issues with HDDs and stuff, but thats a bit newer)
I had the displeasure of joining a match with my friend where the enemies had invincible banshees that shot rockets like regular lazer ammo. I didnt play this one, but there also was a match where the everyone respawned in ONE BASE on Coagulation and had no overshields, extra damage on. The cheater was on the roof with a rocket launcher and kept killing 15 players at a time, and kept getting Kilamanjaros. Did I mention this was on matchmaking?
I've only played on Live once, and I had a pretty good time. There was the whole matter of receiving death threats from one person, but that's a different story. I haven't seen any odd hacks for Halo 2. I think there's only a cache editor program for the first game. I never cared for hex editing anything myself (likely to screw something up), so I haven't touched Halo 2.
Only God knows why people still play Halo 2 on live, or live period. Oh, and that whole "cheaters cheat because they suck" thing is bullshit. I used the occasional hack on CS and I was nasty at that game. People do it because it's fun and/or they like to piss people off.
Those are Mygots and I dont know if a Mygot clan is on Halo 2 or not. let me rephrase this "Cheaters Cheat because they want to raise thier rank and have bragging rights" for thier "skills". In CS people cheat to make people angry, but in Halo 2 its more about bragging rights, imo. There are some good LIVE! games, though. Star Wars battlefront doesnt have confrontations and crap, because most of the enemy are A.I. In Halo 2, for example, its only a few guys and so arguments and calling people faggots ensues. I think bots should be implemented in more FPS games on Multiplayer as well as additional enemies on XBL. Halo is boring because their is not much action sometimes when YOU want to host a map.
People cheat in CS and CS Source to laugh out loud. MyG0t has been disbanded for about a year now. Most clans still meet, but these guys pretty much don't meet together. Heck, I can slap on the myg0t tag on my name without having "approval" because they really don't have a central place to "meet" anymore. Besides, most servers auto-ban ppl if their names have the myg0t tag name as their player name.
