I don't really think that Capcom gave in. They maybe just accepted the demands of some fans. RE has become an Action-Adventure, not to say Shooter. So it would just be normal to have a co-op mode in the game. That's just my opinion. Anyway, Resident Evil 5 isn't the great it could've become if the developers would have gone back to the roots.
I still think it's better single player, but the AI for the Chris is REALLY stupid when you play as Sheva. Both my playthroughs Sheva was really helpful. When I play with a real person the game just gets frustrating. Why did they abandon UE3?
Shevas KI is stubid.......i only play the profi modus online with a friend!!!its much easier if you have a good partner!!
Hey Dot50, do you know where some shots of the supposedly UE3 version would be so I could see them? I couldn't really find anything but the CG trailer. I tried your site but couldn't find any, awesome site btw!
Theres three of them from the Piggyback strategy guide. Thats the only source we have for those particular shots. I don't have them scanned in myself, but they are quite small so the OP might be the best online at the moment.
this guid book is very good...i dont know why in the guide book is written, that the female majini without the bandana is not encauntered in the final version??this women is available in the mercanries game and at the begining from the main game!!!
Looking at the photos again, I'm not really sure. The "baked" looking lighting reminds me of what an updated/modified UE2 engine could do. Chris's model look pretty low poly as well for a UE3 game, but who knows.
Those 3 supposed UE3 screenies do have a little bit of a Gears of War look and "feel" to them. I think that them doing engine tests with UE3 is definately plausible. whether or not that is indeed the case is beyond me though:icon_bigg
I dunno, I've always kind of held of on saying if a game is GOWs looking must be UE3 because, well, lots of UE3 games don't look like GOW/UT3. Rainbow Six Vegas is UE3 and doesn't look like either at all. Very interesting though.
I beg to differ. The first time i seen Vegas 2 was at a friends house, and the second i laid eyes on it i knew it was UE3. Maybe its just me though:icon_bigg
Was it the UE3 logo on the boot up that gave it away, lol. I really don't think it does. When I played the first one I was really confused because I thought UE3 games were suppose to look better. They don't look horrible, but you know. Supposedly Dead Space uses the same engine as a Godfather game. See? Sometimes you can't tell just by simply looking.
Actually i never seen the boot sequence until i bought it,lol. My buddy was already in mid game when i got to his house. I seen the UE logo in the boot sequence after i bought it and was like " I knew it!!!":icon_bigg
