Resident Evil 7 exclusively to XBOXONE

Not surprised really since Microsoft are lacking of quality exclusive games over the years,In my opinion. Microsoft and capcom has done it again. Shame this has to happen but I won't be buying the bullshit XBOXONE though.

My thoughts are I can't see this actually happening. Capcom can't be that stupid...right?

 

It's Resident Evil, so there's really only one thing to say:

Well look like time exclusive. Six months is quite a long time. Another trick from Microsoft once again.

I can't tell if it is a good thing or bad thing because after six months over, PS4 version might be a better version and may come with all DLC on disc and improve with updates for game.

 

Whoopty-fucking-doo. Resident Evil started to suck from RE4 onwards. Capcom did the same thing with RE4; at first they said it would be a "Gamecube exclusive", and then eventually it was ported to virtually every platform imaginable.

 

I think what you meant was "RE was always a shitty franchise, but 4 was actually good". And lol at anyone thinking Capcom won't milk this for every drop it's worth just like they did with a billion versions of SFII and RE4. Hell, the only thing they were smart enough to put out its misery was Mega Man, and that was after at least a decade of nobody caring about Mega Man other than the short-lived buzz over 9 and 10, and that was only because of the shameless nostalgia pandering.

It's nice that you think that, but that's not the case. What I meant is that RE was a great series up until 4, and 4 sucked and ruined the series. I don't care what the general consensus is; it was a total departure from the previous games, and they got rid of everything that made them great. It had good graphics for the time, I'll give it that. Other than that, it seemed like they were just trying to emulate other games and make it more "modern", and that ruined it for me.

Also, Mega Man isn't dead. He's going to be in the new SSB game.

 

Exactly. With how much games cost to develop these days, I'd imagine they will eventually release it on other platforms if this is true. That and the whole Resident Evil and GameCube "exclusive" story shows just how exclusive they really are.

 

I couldn't have said it better myself. The general consensus that I gather from people who actually played & enjoyed any RE before 4 seems to be that it is a total departure from what made RE fun. And the ones that liked it never seem to like that one the most. The people that I know who really liked 4 either never played any of the previous ones, or just didn't like the "tank" style controls of the earlier ones.

RE4 is a decent game, but it should have been called something like "infection" with no ties to RE whatsoever. Knowing it is a Resident Evil game is what makes it so shitty to me. Not to mention Leon is the worst character in the series. Overall, the game was crafted to make me hate RE from then on out, it would seem.

 

Well after Resident evil 4 success that why Capcom went to action instead of horror and got carried away since then. Resident evil 4 is one off only as a brilliant game. Played PS2 version but Gamecube version is so much better due to the hardware system.

I guess that's true. It wasn't a horrible game in its own right, but it didn't feel like a Resident Evil game - and as you said, it might've been okay if it had had nothing to do with Resident Evil. Instead, the old style died, and now all we're left with is the new crappy style.

 

Resident evil 6 got to be worst one in the series. I would play Resident evil Gaiden any time than 6!

 

Yeah, and he's got several great games of his own coming out too, can't wait for Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe!

Haven't played it, but it's probably better than 1-3 by default.

Code Veronica was the last true Resident Evil game, all the rest are generic action games with the Resident Evil brand, exept for Operation Raccoon City Resident Evil has had no zombies from Resi 4, just diseased people and monsters.
I didn't bother buying Resi 6 so even if Resi 7 was on PS4 I would not be buying it anyway.
Even Outbreak File 1 and 2 where better than 4,5, and 6.

Im not even going to watch gameplay or trailers for Resident Evil 7, I just don't care for the series anymore since it changed from survival horror to action.

 

Pretty certain both those games were canceled. And Inafune left Capcom so who knows when we will actually see a new Mega Man title.
