Meh, honestly stopped caring about the series when 4 was released. Remake was the last good one in my eyes xD

Yeah, the GC remake is probably my favorite in the series, actually. RE0 was decent too, though not quite as good as the remake.

@CrAzY I thought leon was a pretty cool character imho. Though I think Chris Redfield is a crappy character same with Jill :/ both boring imo! That being said my only favorite resident evil games are gotta be Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

I loved the original trilogy + code:veronica, along with the RE:Make, really didnt care for RE:Zero too much. Resident Evil 4, while different from the originals, i found to be quite enjoyable, and thought it was a good evolution of the series. RE5, when viewed as a Resident Evil game, was pure trash, but i found that if i forgot it was a RE game, i had fun with it, especially online.

RE5 was the last playable one, imo. I tried playing through RE6, didnt even complete the first campaign. It stands to this day as the only RE game i havent beaten, and will probably stay that way.

The only way RE7 could be any good is if they completely acted like RE4-6 never existed. If it follows the direction RE6 had, ill pass.

Resident Evil 6 is 100% pure genuine shit! I did not finish the demo.

Resident 4 Was great at the time

Resident 5 - I do like it especially when comes near end the game that has a lab, that remind you in Resident Evil 2.

For those calling RE5 and RE6 shit, did you actually play the game with a friend or were you playing solo with the AI? It's drastically better if you are playing with a friend.

I played through RE5 with both my friends and my husband. Still didn't like it - probably didn't help that the game also crashed repeatedly. Same thing happened with ORC.

Though Sheva's AI on the PC version was absolutely shocking - spinning around in circles!

I couldn't force myself to play all the way through RE6 with my husband, didn't like the gameplay mechanic limitations on it among other things. That said, I'd still likely go and play ORC or RE5 (UNLESS it's Lost in Nightmares) over RE6.

Strange that the AI would be drastically different on PC, anyhow she did have a fair share of face-palm moments, dancing and going back and forth to find the right path behind Chris. She reminded of Derek Zoolander, can't turn left...

I assume it was due to enemies spawning/falling through the level as it mainly happened around the Wetlands area (given the factor that I fell THROUGH the level through the edge of the water at one point when doing a melee apparently too close to the water). The AI typically only did it if there was an enemy below but that was what made me put my foot down on using the PC version with the AI active!

If I end up playing the PC version then, it's completely modded. Same thing goes for RE4. I have yet to get Revelations on PC as my husband has already bought like four physical copies of it (and also was one of the people to get the screwed up spelling cover slip for the first 3DS lot).

I can't stand the AI in RE5 and consistently using my items in general when being used as a pack mule was just the beginning of the bugs I came across in RE5.

That said, I played RE6 and ended up throwing the controller in frustration as it felt like a chore to play. I've only really ragequit completely on one other game and that was Final Fantasy XIII - I can't force myself to stay awake and finish it despite being near the end of the game. Would rather go and watch paint dry whilst banging my head against said drying paint in frustration than to play RE6 or FFXIII.

It's a mixture of: bugs, uninteresting/repetitive gameplay, the plot is an absolute clusterfuck at this stage, lack of usage of characters that interest me (complete saturation of particular characters at this point in the series), bland music excluding a couple of tracks.... The list just goes on for me!

Hell, I find myself listening to more of ORC or the Chronicles soundtracks more than the RE5/RE6/REV music (excluding a couple of tracks from each game) despite having it. Just kinda bland to me and it seems more like an attempt to be cinematic instead of actually adding to the atmosphere properly and this is coming from someone who will happily listen to the DEMENTO Original Sound Track OR any of the Drag-on Dragoon/Drakengard music.

ha, just to stir the pot im gonna say that i loved res evil 5, i had great fun playing co op with a mate and the re playability was awesome trying to collect everything and max out all weapons, different isnt always bad, no game series has stayed the same after several sequels, to expect them to keep them all the same is pretty naive, revelations was good too.

I thought that RE 4 was the first really good RE game (and then I didn't like RE 5 at all, and I've not played RE6), but I do agree that RE 4 shouldn't have been what it was, as so many people prefer the style of RE 1 - 3 (including RE Zero and REmake) that it wasn't fair to the hugely loyal fanbase to change the game's style the way RE 4 did. RE 4 should have been in the traditional RE style, and they should also have made an unrelated-to-RE game in the style of the RE4 that we got, but using new IP, non-Resident Evil, characters and settings. It could have been the start of a new game IP, and also loyal RE fans would have gotten a true RE4, whereas the rest of us would have loved the new, non-RE game.

I recall it was mainly when climbing platform, she would get in front of me, so I couldn't move, then around a few times and finally let me climb by going behind me. I don't RE5 is the only game doing that. It's funny a few times but gets old quickly.

I thought Resident Evil 4 was the prefect blend of horror and action. It felt very much like a survival horror game, and I thought it was scarier than most of the other Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 5 and 6 on the other hand took the action elements way too far. Resident Evil 5 was a pretty good action game, but it didn't feel like a survival horror game. Resident Evil 6 on the other hand was a complete disaster on all aspects. Resident Evil Revelations was the last good Resident Evil game as of right now, the only thing I wish they put into it was a more variety of enemies.

I disagree i think it wen't down after 5. Resident Evil 2 will always be my all time favorite. And let xbox get RE7 running at 30fps on that sad excuse for a gaming console, i honestly couldn't think of a reason to own a xbox one if it wasn't for Halo 2 anniversary.
