Resident Evil 7 Promo Disc (PS4)

Hi, I ordered such a disc and seller said it is identical with the commercial version.

Questions would be :

-Does someone here already own this disc for the PS4 ? (or Xbox One maybe)
-Is this really just the commercial version, with "Promo Disc" printed on it ?
No difference at all ?
-As it was cheap...is this common or not and where would the origin of this disc be ?
Is it rare or did I buy nothing special here ?

It is almost certainly a final copy. They get sent out in Europe and the like for review, for some game stores, and for other promotional purposes. Neat if youre a fan, but it wont really get you anything extra.

 

Do me a favor and answer this. If you look at the back of the disc, is it a burned BD-R or is it a Pressed disc (with the playstation logo on the inner ring).

Generally speaking these are usually pressed discs but there have been some times where they aren't. And these are almost always the same as retail (give or take some minor things like saving progress).

 

Disc is pressed, as always for promo versions.
The value of these versions varies a lot, depending on countries. They are sought after in Europe.

Today, €25-30 is a minimum price for this game. Should increase in a long term future.

 

Official promo disc is retail with "Not for resale" or the likes printed on it. Companies doesnt have to pay royalties to MS/Sony for promo discs if they follow certain guidelines. So yeah, its retail with special print.
