No one has this game, it was never, ever leaked and won't be. Don't get and keep your hopes up, it's a lost cause.
Never say never. People said that about Star Fox 2, the Resident Evil 1 PSX protos, and Bio Force Ape.
I remember playing the demo of this at E3. It was only on two or three TVs and there wasn't any line. I want to say it was in a corner of Nintendo's booth but I'm not sure. I have two crappy "pictures" I took of the screen as I played. I'll scan them and upload it later. The middle of the screen is blacked out in both because of the TV's refresh rate and the terrible camera I was using.
I remember an Italian Magazine (N64 Magazine, I think) which had a special article about RE0 on N64. It had a lot of screenshots and, maybe, some of the staff from that magazine has the cartridge! Just joking
I was joking about the possession of the cartridge. But I was not joking about the article. It will be interesting to get in touch with some of the members of the original team that worked there, at N64 Magazine, but will be neraly impossible. It was a magazine which lasted for a very short time, and it's nearly impossible finding infos about it. I am working to find someone who worked there Just to ask some infos...
Just need to enhance them, duh. Though in all seriousness if you had the negatives (or maybe this can be done with the prints?) there might be some details can could be worked out of all the darkness. No way it would look as good as it did in person but hey something is always better than nothing. Unless its food poisoning.
I've taken some photo classes/have experience with negatives, I could help with getting more details out of them.
Hello everyone, I'm new here. On the subject of beta Resident Evil 0, I've been interested in it myself and have tried to uncover stuff on the japanese trial disc. I guess the only thing that exists that seems to be a legitimate leftover from the N64 days would be the .h4m file on the trial that somebody discovered a while back (unfinished Rebecca/zombie encounter on the train). I think that footage alone is pretty incredible considering there is really no logical reason for it to be on the Gamecube version demo, and she still has her beret. We may never see the N64 proto, but who knows. Either way, there are a lot of neat things on the trial disc. I'm sure somebody else found them before me, but there are tons of unused textures like a green facility door (obviously intended for the "wind key") and many others that I can't remember. If anyone is interested, I could get them the files one way or another. I also hacked a few Action Replay codes for the trial, like item modifiers. A vast amount of the items are incomplete, and almost every single one is somewhat different from in the final version. One has to wonder if some of the beta icons are recycled from the scrapped N64 build.
^Yeah, I've seen that page. Those are hacked from the final version, though, and those aren't even all of the item codes that were made for that one.
I'd be really interested in checking out some of those files, seems like there could be some fun stuff in there.
Gilgamesh, thanks for sharing these pictures. Especially for the one containing the original logo, couldn't find it anywhere else. The direct-port to the Wii still contains tons of these unused items. (No surprise there)
