...how did you even figure that was the same thing we're talking about...did the cartridge slot on the back, and no shoulder or z buttons not make something click?

Or the fact that you plug it straight into the TV itself?

I remember they used to sell those at the mall, never knew the creator got arrested for it.

I didn't watch the video that the OP posted, just read the title of the article and thought that the company was the same. That's the long and short of it. Now I know there are assloads of 3rd party things out there shaped like N64 controllers lol. And not even just what was shown off here or what I linked to, but upon a google search, there are SO many.

Watching the vid that OP uploaded, YEEESH do those controllers look cheap. I actually feel better off having spent ~$60 on a Hori Minipad than I probably would buying even one of these for $30. I've been spoiled and I can't go back to the old trident design, especially if it's a cheaply constructed piece of shit*.
Sweet Jesus, this would be pure titmilk... maybe throw in a few more Gameboy Player controllers too, and we'd have a deal. :p

*because let's face it that's probably what these things are gonna be

The biggest issue I've run into with my N64 controller is not wishing for wireless, it's wishing the joy stick could last. I've owned at least 20 Nintendo OEM N64 controllers brand new, and only half have survived. Granted I lost 3 or 4 due to the Mario Party 1 fiasco but still, if a 3rd party company could make a long lasting joy stick N64 controller replica (with good sensitivity) they would have my money in a second.

Have you tried the newer gamecube style sticks on ebay for the n64? I installed them on mine recently and I never looked back. They are pretty awesome for games like Goldeneye or THPS plus I was told from a guy who reviewed them on youtube, that these stick are definitely more durable than the originals (he's had them over a year now and says the way he plays, you'd think he abused the hell out of that stick)

Oooo... Did not know about this. I can't seem to find it on ebay. All I found is the Hori Style. Hori Style Ebay JoyStick Which is a pretty darn good replacement. It's not as precise (just my opinion) as a new N64 controller, but it is miles better compared to a worn controller. It is also very reliable which is also a nice feature.

I have a controller with one of those. It's OK for games that don't require a lot of precision (Mario Kart, Mario Party), but the analog control is far too sensitive; I wouldn't recommend this stick if you play lots of game that need precise aim and control (basically, FPSes are out).

Also, the "Hori-style" title is wildly misleading; owning a Hori Minipad*, I can assure you that those replacement sticks are almost NOTHING like the real Hori ones, even with formfactor notwithstanding; the Hori ones have adequately tuned analog control.

*oh my god we get it you have one shut up already

Might be fun to try and transplant the internals from one of these into an OEM n64 controller. Wouldn't care about the rapid fire features, they just detract from the overall design.

I've played FPS games with these joysticks all the time and I never had any problems. It might also be that my controllers are well kept since I never destroyed the hell out of my joystick like I see most people do when they spin bowser around in Mario64. The sticks work as well as next gen thumbsticks for me. I've had nothing but good precision with them. To anyone who hasn't tried them. I suggest you purchase one off ebay and try them out for yourselves. I've been gaming on my N64 nonstop after getting rid of those crap original thumbsticks.

These things are JUNK, controller packs / memory cards did NOT work for me!

The product description claims they do and though you can see a save file, when you actually try to load it you get an error. Tried an official and 3rd party controller pack, both of which work fine with my normal wired N64 controller. I have seen others saying the same thing as well, returned mine after a day.
