Yeah, Turtles in Time still kicks arse. Even the Super Famicom version is still very entertaining. In fact I like it more than the arcade version due to the better audio and more levels.

Yeah Turtles in Time def still holds up due to it's variety It keeps things interesting

The Best Beat em ups are the ones that keep things interesting. Bare Knuckle III is a great example of this.

Still the closest the SNES ever got to Streets of Rage

Castle Crashers falls apart in the 2nd half you can tell some levels were just tacked on near the end and weren't as fun as the first few levels.

Scott Pilgrim is crap. It gets real old and real boring real fast. No amount of References to classic games can make me even the slightest big interested in playing it again.

Well, I had a few to drink last night while watching the new Wheeler Dealers (the did up a DeLorian this week) so i was in no state to play any Forza well. So I took a look at the Saturn and pumped out another Retro Core.

By the way, that Retro Core was filmed at 3am. I just had one of those nights where I just wasn't sleepy.

Don't know if it's me doing something wrong but when I try to d/l the 720p version a new page opens and the file tries to play in WMP, the 480 d/l works perfectly though.

That will be Internet Explorer I bet. I use fire fox and had no issues. It just downloads as normal. Right click on the link and choose "save file" or whatever it says if the normal left click way isn't working.

The reason why the 720p version is trying to play in Windows Media Player is because it's a WMV file where as the 480p is a f4v file. The same file that is used for streaming.

EDIT: Right, I just booted up Internet explorer 9 and yep, the page doesn't render right, the links to t he left don't open in the right frame and when I tried to download the 720p version it gave me an option of saving the file OR playing it in WMP. What a crappy browser when it comes to following rules. Looks like I'll have to re-do all the links in the links frame now.

Just like Layer Section, Darius Gaiden never gets enough credit for being a great Saturn shooter.
And how about that instrumental soundtrack?

Some people just don't like Robotic Fish. Seriously I tired to get a friend of mine who likes Shmups and that was his excuse for not wanting to try it.

A real shame the Darius series has some of THE most fucked up endings in Gaming history.

    On a side note:

This is a statement somebody made on the Magicbox Forums about my Retrocore Rip off Retrocade Fantasia.

So I have weak gaming skills? So would anyone who films games in the early hours of the morning. Oh well.

Yep, Darius games never get the credit they deserve. True, many of the Darius games are a bit bland but Darius 2, Gaiden and G are all excellent shooters. I still prefer Layer Section over Darius though.

Honestly I'd say our skills are dead even in everything other than shooters. And I don't think I've beaten ANY of the games I covered aside from the fighters.

Layer section that's which one Raystorm right? I've always been disapointed it was left off Taito Legends 2. Darius Gaiden and the Awesome G-Darius made it though.

G-Darius by far has the best music in the series.

Layer Section was known as Galactic Attack in the west in and I think Raystorm in Japanese Arcades. I have no idea why the Saturn games were renamed to Layer Section in Japan. The 2nd game which was also released on the PlayStation was also renamed to Layer Section II while the PlayStation version kept with the arcade title of Raystorm 2.

Raystorm is the sequel. it was Rayforce. I'm looking up the reason for the renaming now.

    according to wikipedia

So why on earth did Acclaim rename the Saturn version to Galactic Attack? Sounds like a shit name but pretty obvious what the game is about I guess.
