So the details are out now, it supports NES, SNES, and Genesis, Famicom Game Boy Advance. they are trying to keep the price under $100 and you might be able to save your save to SD card. http://slashdot.org/topic/cloud/retron-5-plays-cartridges-from-five-classic-consoles/
I think it will support flash carts, but I don't think the system will boot roms directly off the built in SD slot but rather for save slots, settings.
Currently I am running sd2nes, everdrive md on the retro 3 without any issues, so let's hope it stays that way, I do not have the famicon n8 to test on the system via the 72 pin nes converter.
I'm kinda bummed out they left out Svideo connection. I'm also a concerned with input lag when the system displays via HDMI.
haters gonna hate. personally i think it looks like a good system, and has improved massively over previous versions. systems like this are great for people who have issues with lack of space e.g. you cant have a nes, snes, megadrive/genesis, and famicom out and connected all the time. the save features are nice too along with the HDMI output and aspect ratio settings

I just prefer original hardware, there's nothing better than that. If this does the job for majority of the library then sure why not?
Nice presentation but I have alot of questions. So this is emulation on a chip I would imagine but how is this going to be different then any of the other clone systems? Also audio is probably the most important here as the genesis clone systems never got it right. It looks like they have a software solution so at least they considered it. After the Neo Geo X failure its led me to be real skeptical of these kinds of systems. I like the save stage option that is very cool.
How so? Just curious as to what your reasoning is. I am interested for sure, but would love to see it in action before tossing up to $100 at it. Seems to pack quite a few nifty features!
That's fine bro, I just dislike emulation machines, there's always something not perfect (which emulation usually isn't). I'd rather pay a little bit more and own a real system.
The Problem with CD systems is they have a Bios that isn't exactly legal to emulate. And it's the same with me, I'd love to get a Legit Famicom/SFC/Mega Drive but I won't have room after that for a PS3,PS4 and Wii U. This saves me a TON of space.
