My local game store had Ridge Racer for Xbox360 for NTSC in stock... I'm assuming it was Japanese (although can't remember seeing Japanese on it), however it occurred to me if I could play it on my PAL(UK) Xbox360....anyone know for sure? Seem some stuff on google about Europe being in the same region as Japan and hence we can presumbly play Japanese games on UK machines...true?

Actualy check out lik-sang for a accurate list. Ridge Racer USA is compatible on both NTSC-U (USA/Canada) & PAL 360 units. Ridge Racer JPN is compatible only with NTSC-J (Japan/Asia) systems. Oh sadly a dumb one, Quake 4 main disc is region free but the bonus disc is not.
I have a copy Ridge Racer and it works perfectly on my PAL 360, it is the US version not sure about the JP version though. Also DOA4 is region free as well.
Guys - thanks for all the info. The game shop confirmed what you said - the US Ridge Racer DOES work on a PAL machine...I'm away to buy it tommorow! Any opinions on Ridge Racer on 360? (I was blown away by it on the PSP)
If you liked the PSP one, you should love this one I havent had much of a chance to play the copy my friend has, but its alright, though im not a huge ridge racer fan.
Basically, it's one of my most-played 360 games right now. Addictive, simple fun with loads of races to complete in the Xplorer mode! Worth picking up if you're tired of driving sims or need a break from PGR3
