Well, finnally after long time looking i got from Japan an Initial D6. Here are some pictures: Game is really very very nice. One interesting thing is that don't needs a server or all.net connection or even card reader, all can be configurable from the game test menu. The game can be played on a Lindbergh Cabinet or even on a Initial D1, 2 o 3 cabinet, only needs a Lindbergh Serial FFB board. Can be played on a upright cabinet without FFB, but needs a LCD screen, because the game plays nativelly at 1360x768. Is really better than Lindbergh ID5. Some more pictures, a bit better quality:
Hallo, i am new to this forum.. Anyway, can you tell me what has changed between version 5 and 6? Screenshots looks great! I am playing version 5 now on lindbergh and realy enjoy it. Can you tell me what kind of things you can pimp if you have a safecard. Is it only cosmetic or also tuning your engine? Also, can you tell me a good lcd 32" screen for the lindbergh? Greets and thanks!
Well version 6 runs on RingEdge, that is more powerfull than lindbergh, graphics are better, game is faster, there are more tunning options, the game is still in japanese only, but have a lot of texts also in English, etc. There are options for tunning engine too. Is easy to install a RingEdge with ID6 into a Initial D5 cabinet, all is compatible, I/O, Force FeedBack, Card Reader, etc. About 32" LCD screen, is for original lindbergh cabinet? If is for original cabinet, is really difficult, because the Intial D5 machines uses a Toshiba P320CB1 Display, that is custom made for Sega, best is to buy a flat panel and mount inside the P320CB1 enclossure.
I agree but... They put all that effort in to make it look nice, but they don't make the car's front wheels turn while drifting?
Thanks Soyandroid for the info! I play ID5 on a naomi/ Happ costum cap with a lcd 24" bevore the lcd. Will buy a 32", but i am not sure what facts are important. Or is every new 32" lcd ok? Also, will a r-tuned cart reader work with id5? Is it easy for setup to the lindbergh or do i need more hardware? Any help would be great! I realy like the look of ID6, but it is not so much better than part 5 imo. Ok from the stills at least. Maybe in motion it is a other thing. The shaders of the cars looks much better, not so glossy. Wonder, is the speed like in the original drive. For id5 i guess not.
ID5 Card Reader Hi Eckart, Maybe is a bit latter to replay you, but i didn't saw your post until now. Rtunned lindbergh Reader, is a manual insertion reader, using RFID Smart Cards (IC cards) based on the Siemens SLE55R16LM chip. SLE55R16LM chip, is basically an intelligent 2560 Bytes E2prom, following ISO 14443A, working at 13.56MHZ and with a data rate transfer of 106Kbits/s. Those readers are using the HW210 reader by SAXA,co. Most of the Sega RFID readers used on games like VF4, VT3, Ghost Squad Evo, VF5, Rtunned, etc, are using a manual insertion reader with an embeded SAXA HW210 module and a TTL to RS232 conversion board. Id4-ID7 are using a special card reader with Leuco printer included, is only similar to the one used by ID1-ID3, in that is motorized and also has card stocker inside for selling new cards. ID1-ID3 is using a motorized reader, with a 3 track magnetic stripe read / Write / enconder included and thermal printer, that allows to print on the cards, but only once. ID4-ID7, (and probably ID8) is using a motorized reader with an RFID header and the cards are IC Cards, no magcards, but one of the nice things on those readers is that the included printer is able to thermal print on the card, but is also able to erase the printing on the card, with a minimum of 500 cycles. The reader on the ID4-ID7 is really very complex, the cards are working at 13.56MHZ but don't follow the Iso14443A or ISO14443B, and don't return an ATR when interrogated. The data stored on those ID4-ID7 cards is encripted. Only for reference the price off one of those readers by Sega Japan is 2800$ The reader is so complex, that has even a CF socket integrated, for update the firmware. As i think there is not any photo of those readers on internet, here is a photo:
some vÃdeo of a chinese guy with Lindbergh on pc i suppose too: tudou.com/programs/view/JtGyVhonl2Q/
HAHAHAHA Chinese guy ?????? This is an old video of my MultiBoot V2.0, this video is mine, recorded in my desktop and was deleted from youtube 2 years ago, not idea how ended there. The LCD in the photo was my old Sony 17" LCD. And is not a PC, is running on a Genuie Yellow lindbergh.
i have more stuff i find some dumps in chinese and russian site you did they ? and i can't post here because of the rulers D: add me man
This img dumps are old crap and useless, uploaded by some lamer one year ago. All the iso imgs on my multi HD are encripted. Don't post here links to ilegal stuff or links to videos that are not your's.
soyandroid, thanks for the info! Guess the cartreader is a view cents out of my prizerange. A bit off topic, but do you or somebody know if the triforce cartreader works for all triforce games the same. I mean in my case, will the cartreader from virtua striker work with mario kart gp?
Yes those card readers are the same used on other sega games, like VT3 and are bassed on the SAXA HW210 module. Thos game cards are all based on the SLE55R16LM chip. The card reader for ID4-ID7, is really expensive, around 2800$ is Sega Japan oficial price, i have now some few units, and i can supply them at around 1/4 of the official price.
I got one Complete Initial D6 Ringedge from soyandroid and must say it's the best buy I've made in years. The game is extremely realistic and was very simple to install. When I get tired playing this I'd like to try GRID. I saw it in a couple of Arcades in Dubai and also is Awesome.
OK. Time for GRID. Is it a direct replacement or do I need to change the drive board, I/O Board, etc. PM Sent.
