Terrible is not the right word. Awful is methinks. What the heck has his family to do with his own shit? He should had have more courage and blew its head off, like a Curt Cobain. Sorry for fans, but thats my opinion on suicide. Anyway, R.I.P. Chris, wherever you are..
hmmm the only real showwrestling I would call real, was back when a wrestler used his style in the old UFC fights, Tank Abbot is his name. He was real, and he was fucking brutal when he fought. Heck, I still remember a fight, where he made one of his oponents head, and neck turn very wrong(maybe that was another fighter, but still the person I am talking was brutal). That was really REAL show wrestling tricks. When it was in a real fight. So wrestling is NOT real.
Umm... not fake? Nobody would last a round if that shit weren't scripted, choreographed, or in a word... fake. Ever notice how they rarely have long-lasting bruises? White trash are to wrestling as blood is to the human body.
I'm curious as to how scripting/choreography == fake? While it's true that a lot of moves performed aren't "real", a lot of them still hurt to some extent...not to mention how do you fake gravity? (1:04) Plus, like you said, nobody would last a round which rather detracts from the whole "Entertainment" aspect of it all. :noooo: (not always anyway :110
I wouldn't pass judgement just yet 'til the investigation is complete...there is a toxicology report pending (which takes weeks to months depending on the backlog of the labs in Georgia). @GodofHardcore: There was the "head drop era" in All Japan Pro Wrestling (circa 1993-1998-ish), but please let's not go there...
I can't explain any fans of any form of wrestling. Passing it off as one thing (fighting) when it's not = fake... at least to most people. "He kicked his ass!!!!" That insinuates that the person getting his ass kicked had some sort of chance before the writers decided he would lose. For the love of God, from now on, please don't think.
Well if you opt for that interpretation of it then yes, I can see how it would be fake, as winning matches doesn't really make you the "best" when it's predetermined (although in some cases, I suppose it shows just who has the most pull backstage). I personally, couldn't care less about any of that though, as I try to catch quality matches to be entertained whenever possible (rather than viewing it as a real bout..which is kinda silly).
Showrestling is live acting, nothing else. And the some of their tricks are blatantly stolen from real BJJ fighting(and you can see they aren´t even really holding on in their submissions). So wrestling IS fake all the way. I can´t take any of the show wrestling serious. But I did take the wrestling matches we had in the school yards sandbox real, since there I got ass kicked alot of times by one person who him and I had an ongoing war, untill a former UN soldier said to us. What we did was really a war. So Jesper and I shook eachothers hands, and realised, that the former soldier was right. So showwrestling is fucking lame, and fake.
LOL if it is real blood, then it small sores made with razors between the fingers or something like that. Since it is still scripted, and now they have just stolen the tricks from UFC. LOL lame, and fake. Give me a break, MMA for the win, vs "wrestling". Watch an old UFC fight, and there you will see what real fighting is all about. Or practice some full contact martial art style. And you will quickly find out, how much a person really can take of punches (if he isn´t wearing protection) and kicks. Before he gets down.
