Great wrestler? This is all fully grown man soap opera BS. It's sad when a life is lost, but the person you admire is just an actor. He is fake. An actor pumped up on steroids who murdered his family.
Hes still an athlete, I hate when people give them less (or more) credit then a wrestler deserves. But Benoit...damn.
I woudln't call wrestling "fake", its just a man's version of a soap opera with choreographed (sp?) stunts and actually a little bit of pain. Some of that stuff can't be faked, like jumping off the poles on to other people because they slept with their baby's momma. Also, if he really DID kill his Wife and child, it sounds a lot like the backstory to "The Grudge", almost identical, in every part.
Well thats why I said almost identical. I guess I'm just making an excuse to talk about the movie, since I saw it on TV the other day. Creepiest movie I've ever seen.
I was on XBL tonight and noticed some asshole's motto was "R.I.P. Chris B." It's sad people honor a murderer because he was on TV.
What about when that lunatic killed those amish girls? 2/3rds of of mourners at his feuneral were Amish. Sure he wasn't on TV but he was still mourned even after doing the horrible thing he did. Sure if this happend to somebody I care about I'd probably take a different stance though.
Jumping off poles onto someone because they slept with your missus? Pure fantasy. Who IRL does that? Nobody. It's fake.
Most Amish people are God-loving, and believe in forgiveness. Most people on XBL (or the internet in general) are douche bags, and don't believe in forgiveness. In high school, me and some friends went to a wrestling show, or whatever they're called, in Dallas. So funny. We just got loaded and laughed are balls off at all the white trash.
White Trash Wrestling fans really tarnish wrestling fandom as a whole. They are the Japanophiles of Wrestling fandom. Now wrestling being fake? Ask Owen Hart or Darren Drozdov how fake wrestling is or Eiji Ezaki
It is fake. The stunts are often dangerous and people can die or get injured, but it is not real wrestling though.
Meaning, if you want to see real fighting, then get the pre Dana White UFC, and very early Muay Thai fights, then you see real stuff. That is to me the difference between show wrestling, and real fights.
I'd hardly label it as fake, scripted yes, but as the WWE warnings so often state "the hazards are real". Wrestling (as in the Olympic event, which is rather boring imo) it isn't though, and honestly I don't think it tries to be.
and tna's writing may suck but the matches kick ASS and Ring of Honor.....do I need to say more? and oh yeah CM FUCKING PUNK!
