    Really tragic.

A Knight's Tale was his first movie i saw. His acting performance in Lords of Dogtown is great too.

I must admit that I was, and shall remain a massive fan of Heath Ledger and when I heard about his death this morning I was really upset. He was an incredible actor, a huge personality and made a lasting contribution to the genre of film.

The little known Australian independent film "Two Hands" shall be for me the most remarkable of his performances.

Adieu Heath, you'll be missed on the silver screen, but thanks for the entertainment you gave us.

Apparently he was getting really into the Joker role and had been getting oly 2 hours of sleep a night because he developed insomnia. They're deeming it an accidental OD of the sleeping pills

You can bet on it. I think these people are only trying to get in the spotlight, in the most disgusting way they can find though. I didn't like Brokeback Mountain btw, found it quite slow and boring.

Yeah, it was quite shocking news. I'm amazed they released it so quickly, too.

Ahh, those people really are sad. He is an ACTOR ffs. They need to get a grip on reality!

One of my Aunts who lives out way in the boondocks tried to sue the cable company for showing Brokeback mountain on cable. She was afraid "It'd teach the children the wrong thing!"

I've never seen the film but I think thats a little ridiculous to say. I mean, if it bothers people so bad just don't watch it.

Did you fulfill your civic duty by:
-Telling her to cancel the fucking cable she voluntarily pays for?
    -Pounding her on the head?

I just told her "I don't see what the big deal is..."

She said she didn't hate gays, but she didn't want her kids to be gay or get ideas.

I live around the bible belt, btw. Me and my family are probably some of the more tolerant people around, and we don't go to anti gay rallies or what ever. I remember asking my mom what she thought about gays and she said "Well, I don't approve, but I certainly don't hate and attack them like some other churches do. I think its hypocritical for a church to say that hate is a sin and then go and persecute people for not agreeing with their beliefs." Thats about the same way I feel, too.

If Brokeback mountain came on cable over here I probably wouldn't watch it, as the only Western I really liked was Blazing Saddles, and if the other guy was a chick I probably wouldn't want to watch it anyway. But I certainly wouldn't complain about it to my cable provider, though I imagine there'd be a stink about it, probably.

He was actually a pretty normal guy, tended to shun the limelight, lived with his wife (until she left last year) and was a family man (leaving a 2year old daughter behind). He actually moved to NY from OZ to get away from the media glare, never really attending the big parties or living in that jetset. According to friends & family he was a pretty clean living guy, but who really knows eh?

You'd tend to expect this headline to have the name "Pete Docherty, Amy Winehouse or Britney Spears" attached to it, not Heath Ledger.

Never knew those details about him. It's a pitty nevertheless for any young person to die, that comment was more of a general statement and a saying that anything else.

Yeah, absolutely! I'm not some uber fan lol, but I did happen to think very highly of Ledger as an actor right from his performance in "Two Hands" (which I suggest anyone who loves a good Indie film to view) when he was a mere 19 years old. Even then you could see that he'd be earmarked for Hollywood.

Plus, it's a bloody funny film....

Cept NOBODY is releasing info on where the feuneral will be and thus will keep them out.

Never saw a movie he was in. Didn't even know he was in brokeback but now that he's gone he's like the new James Dean.

Never understood the big deal with James Dean Heath however......

    First Brad Renfro
    then Heath

They say death happens in 3s..........

Brit.....she has to last until June. She goes in June I get my PS3.
