Woow this is great ! Thanks a lot for the video. I tought the game was a Tomb raider game style but it doesn't looks like this. I still wonder why it never saw the light of day.
I would say the game was closer to an aventure game like ocarina of time. With some form of open world gameplay and 3 playable character. The game was canned because the n64 was reaching the end of it s life cycle. Bits studio was a small compny with something like 60 employes We were develloping 3 games at the time so management decided to cancel riqa and move the team on the two other projects

Thanks for sharing great to see some gameplay footage. Graphics look very 'bright' compared to a lot of other N64 games and it appears fairly stable, how far into development was it?

You re welcome... see that you guy like it I got few more unearthed thing i may release soon... The game was developed by bits studios in the uk and was published by nintendo. I ve got a all bunch of riqa rom. The "stipulation" was a team vote. Before i release the video i asked the the people that was involve if i could or not The project was in devellopement hell for a while... from what i remember , when it got cancelled the project was doing better but it was too much work to complet the the n64 was reaching the end of it s life spend. So the management moved the riqa team into 2 other project closer ton completition.
It's a pity you can't ROMize us, but, definitely, thank you for sharing. It's nice seeing long non-vhs footage of this. I don't really remember seeing this game in Spanish magazines back in the day, so, to me, this is not like other lost N64 games of the time that I followed, expected and never got to play, but it's still great to see protos like this in action. The logo screen art reminds me a bit of Masamune Shirow's, of Ghost In The Shell fame.
I actually drawn the logo and front screen art... and yeah shirow was the inspiration for the art style
This looks like a really cool N64 game. Do you know which ucode was used or if any modifications were made to one of Nintendo/SGI's or if it was custom like Factor 5's?
It’s awesome, always someone bring to us this kind of stuff I imagine how many great games like this are still there undiscovered. For me, this seems like a Rockman Dash/Legends/64 game, on the mechanics, the camera and physics, then, awesome game. Thank you so much to share this with us.
