When I saw the title screen, my first thought was "Whoa, Masamune Shirow drew stuff for an N64 game?" It wouldn't have been the first canceled project he worked on. You did a good job aping his facial style. What was the game's story like? Goldeneye-meet-Tomb-Raider espionage? Crazier Metal Gear stuff?
Woah man awesome stuff! So happy you shared this with us. Such a shame it wasnt finished, it looks like you guys soent alot of time on this and had some great ideas! Looking forward to any other cool stuff you have
What a nice share to us, was Riqa turned into Rogue Ops? Sorry for double posting, but another thread with an Riqa Wii/GC game was resurrected. http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/good-surprise-with-a-npdp-cart.63901/
So i ve talked to the rest of riqa team... also talked to the ceo of bits... They were all so surprise to see this riqa game bits owned riqa copyright so the wii riqa is not related. Just happen to be a game with similar character...(the girl is called jen and not riqa in the wii game) Also i may have more lost game to share soon
Always nice to see people formally involved in cancelled projects show up to share things. I'm looking forward to what else you have!
More less yeah... riqa team was splitted in two. One half joined with the thieveworld team and both game were merged into rogue ops
Thanks for the share! Shame it didn't see the light of day - it looks like it could have been fun. Uhh... almost kill? So you'd maim but keep them alive?
Lol yeah considering the fact that the game isnt really a game at its current state. I dont think it really worth killing...
Awesome share! So your the one who'd made that video i'd happened to stumble across on YouTube awhile back before i knew of this thread if the team doesn't want to release this to public, is there plans to bring this to Nintendo's Virtual Console, Steam, GOG, etc...? Kinda pointless for them on not to release such a unreleased gem and trying to keep rights on a old product for no apparent reason (I guess) if they ain't gonna do anything to it ya know.
