I bought it last night for $4. It seems like a pretty nice game, but I forgot how damn hard some of these Mega Man games are. It's either that, or I'm way out of practice. W00t! 1,000th post .
It's easier with Zero. And I think we're all out of practice somehow. Even Super Mario 3 gets difficult for me lately. Old age sucks ass, even more when one's just 24.
Nah, I read that X5 is insanely difficult, so I feel better now . I could never beat the first game, although I did get to the last level (second Sigma stage is where I always die).
i didn't liked X5, you where interupted every 5 seconds with a page of dialog and text, i mean, c'mon! we want to play, not to hear that cheesy story. And the some stage felt amateur-ish. haven't played any megaman after that, but i would like to, just to calm my curiousity down. and i'm certainly the only one who liked megaman legends. Anyway, the golden age of the serie was between 6 and X4, imo. X, X" and X3 where really good.
Back in the day, I used to be able to go through either X or X2 with just one life, getting the tricks and the armour, and stuff. Now... most bosses kill me at least once. I find X5 not really that hard, outside of that horrible bike scene... and the final level... now that I think of it, it IS somewhat tough... There was another horrible bike scene in X4. I love those, even if they're a total bitch to pass.
I played the bike level and another level where you had to hop from truck to truck. I was in a bad mood, though, so I put the game down before I got mad.
in highschool I was trying to obtain a copy of X3 on PC for whatever reason at the time. Probably the anime sequences bc I had the sfc cart already...but couldn't afford without a job like that, and just settled for X PC from the same guy. Definitely provided some of my best memories and pure joy running from my family's (at the time suffering heartbreaking neglect) IBM x86 I dug out of the closet and explored...or should I say rescued :cocksure: It was always a fantasy of mine to discover existence of some obscure Japanese release of X2 for PC...sigh... Is there anyone who knows why X2 was never ported to PC? Delays involving the Cx4 that led right into X3 release era? Thats my best guess I can make, based on the complete lack of info I could find...
Japanese huh. I looked around and honestly just could not find download links for Japan PC copies of X or X3. Hey it isn't quite 'piracy' if one fails. :witless:
