Hi folks, a japanese Neo-Geo collector here.. My actual collection: http://neo-geofreak.forumfree.it/?t=33028627
Thanks so much for helping! I have seen them, and still do sometimes, some of the ones in your pictures. But sometimes I don't know which shop they came from, like Sofmap or Messe Sanoh for example. But I can see in some of the titles for you pictures you say which, which is also cool. ^_^
haha Tonk, i haven't been to assembler in 3 yrs, but a certain something brought me back. Couldnt resist seeing the poor chaps here falling into a trap. I'm keeping out of it though, but of luck to them. Neo Geo Home serial 00157 Blue Phantom Converter dozen or so MVS dozen or so Home Carts Metal Slugs Covered KoF98 KoF 2001 RoTD - i need to sell this... MotW LB 1 and 2. Gah almost forgot I have a Neo CD i bought directly from SNKUSA. ~20 games on that bad boy too.
I used to love the Neo Geo. Times have changed. AES: Console and Samurai Shodown MVS: 25" Neo candy cabinet + 1 slot (MV-1A I think) with old 1.1 Uni-Bios 12 old games (nothing interesting Neo Turfmasters, MS1/2, etc.) NGCD: Top loader + CDZ All games except Ironclad -- Mix of US and Japanese games but I have all limited editions and others/oddities like Last Hope and Frog Feast NGPC: 1 NGP (baby blue) + 4 or 5 NGPC of different colors IIRC, I have the complete US NGPC (cardboard box) set although I might be missing one of the Dive Alerts DC link cable NGPC link cable Bung flash carts
NGP Mexican Bundle: A blister with NGP and 3 games, one of those WITHOUT A LABEL to surprise the customer or something I guess. Mine came with Baseball Stars, Neo World Cup 98 and the suprise game was...Neo World Cup 98. SNK sold games in blisters here, the only one I have found is Crush Roller. SNK initially sold the NGP in the japanese retail box with inserts in spanish, and used to be very common about 8 years ago. Will post later a picture of the mexican bundle. Back then I had as a hobby product photography, so I took a few of some game related items. A broken NGPC blue that I played until it broke down, was part of the American bundle that came with 6 games. I think I got all the similar 4 game bundles. A black NGPC that came in the original american retail box. Brand new, but the joystick has problems with diagonals for some reason. Haven't found a way to repair it :-/
Couple of NGPC + games Neo 29 cabinet with 1 slot and 6 slot (uni2.2 bios). I've had it for about 10+ years. Had to re-write due to 120v on outside of cabinet, safe now though. Besides this very nice cabinet. About 20 MVS games. I've been thinking about getting a AES to play Metal Slug on big screen TV, but just noticed Metal Slug on AES is big $$.
Missed adding to this thread ages ago, still no harm in contributing now. AES: 1x NTSC Console (Boxed) with 4 games. PHOTO MVS: PHOTO 1x 1-slot motherboard Jamma 1x 4-slot motherboard MVS 1x 6-slot motherboard Uni-Bios MVS Electrocoin MVS Sports Centre 2 player standup cabinet 16" monitor About 50 MVS games in shock-boxes, original OEM boxes and unboxed. NGCD: (all boxed) 1x Japanese Front loader Boxed PHOTO 1x PAL Top-loader 1X NTSC Top-loader PHOTO 1X CDZ PHOTO About 45 boxed games of mixed regions, most japan. Not bad I think. I just want to go home now and play some SNK!
CDZ w/ 1 joypad and 1 pro-joystick ( the kidney-shaped one ) and 3 games samurai spirits rpg world heroes 2 jet magician lord which i bought at a garage sale in bozeman for $80 and a NGPC with 16 games
I have 2 25" MVS-2 cabinets, one with the memory card and headphone slots, the other w/o. Samurai Shodown Bust-a-Move Metal Slug 4 KOF 2002 Right now I'm looking for Bomberman, if I can get it at a decent price.
I have a brand new Analogue Interactive CMVS (walnut) and two Analogue Interactive custom controllers (also walnut). No real MVS carts, but I do have one of those shitty(?) 161-in-1 carts. Too bad I don't have a TV to play it on yet. This is my first Neo Geo system after pining over it for about 20 years.
