Hey anyone got this running yet? Picked the game up early this morning from local asda superstore. Ripped it to pc and installed the first disc to sidecar hd but when I go to run the xex on disc 2 it starts then freezes after about 3 seconds.. anyone had any luck? Kits on 21250.2 flash 161970.0
uhm i dont know for sure, but it saw on abx 360 that it needed dashboard 16202. maybe thats the problem?
This is technically piracy, but if it were any title basically just make sure its signed with xextool, also make sure the container that the game installed is signed with the dev key as well...
I was wondering this as well.. I have bought the game, but I want to play the game downstairs on my projector, which only my xbox 360 dev kit is connected.. I guess I will try to install the latest dashboard, install the "install disk", then launch the play disk?
Just take your retail system downstairs and play it from there. Too much hassle for a retail game imo.
I hear it can run as a god container now to figure out how to do that haha..Fuck retail I wanna use the 'trainers' that are already available for it lol
I got it to launch, but crashes after about 15 seconds.. I think my recovery is too old and I am using the latest leaked recovery.. which is fairly old.
Did you take out the system update folders?, I removed those on my RGH console and it runs fine...fully installed too BTW it's a legit copy just using it across my RGH (for me) and stock console (my wife) xD
If you can't figure out how to run retail games on your XDK, you shouldn't have an XDK :/ 1. Extract files 2. Patch to dev and remove kernal check in x360gamehack 3. Use NXE2GOD and convert the play disk to GOD 4. Manually install the other disk into the proper directory (you may have to create that directory if you've never done this before) 5. Run the God and have fun This worked for me last night when I bought the game lol BTW I think the reason you have trouble running the installer disk is because the disk is configured for retail HDDs and XDK Sidecar HDDs are really different with partitions.
3. Where do you put the GOD afterwards? Just past it in the DEV partition? 4. What DIR does GTA V install to? Thank you for your help.
This will help a lot: http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f33/%5Btutorial%5D-multi-disc-games-problem-131562/
I'm not so sure how swap.xex helps with a DLC based 2 disc game? Anyhoos, I too can not get this to boot on my dev, I'm running 16202 Kernel, I've tried multiple ways to get it to work. The closest I get is; Extract Disc1\content\* to hdd:\content\* Extract Disc2:\default.xex Patch this default.xex with x360gamehack 6.3 Inject the default.xex back into the ISO Run through ISO2GOD Place in HDD:\content\0000000000000000\ This method then shows the game as XContent in xshell but won't launch error 1342 (I think, it was a few hours ago I tried) When put on a USBStick as just 'dev-patched' files and other files (extracted) - losers TheLauncher shows the game title, launches, and plays for 15s then black screens crashing. I'd love to know just what exactly I'm doing wrong.
im also stuck on 16197 and obviously cant get this to run . anyone who can provide assistance to update past 16202 please PM me . Thanks in advance
I get error 1394 which I think is there error you were mentioning, PureBluff. I have put the Disc 1 files inside the content/000000000000 folder and then I extracted the disc 2 with the patched default.xex into the hdd but that just plays the intro and then black screens/freezes the XDK. The entire GOD is corrupted if I try and take the GOD after converting it on the xbox, and extracting it to ISO and then fixing the default.xex and converting that into a GOD. So I do not really know how you guys would get this to work? Can we use a fake like we did with the Halo 4 stuff and just put the files it needs in the GTA directory? Also if we own the game and just take the files from a retail install so that we can mod them on our XDKs then is it piracy? I am hoping that it will be ok to discuss this as I only have XDKs and I like to mod games every once in awhile alongside development of other stuff. I think that is kinda the position of everyone here since if we had a modded console we would be fine. Just wanted to clarify that up haha.
