    This topic was trying to sell boots which violate the board rules. As such the sale portion of this topic is now removed but I will leave the topic going for now so people can know what to keep an eye out for.

    If you're interested in buying off the seller don't, you can probably get the legit thing for around the same price or another copy of the boot for a fraction of what the seller wanted.

    How can you tell they're bootleg ? Also I've always wondered, the connector on the bottom is the same connector on the bottom of the GD-ROM drive, right?

    There is no might about it, they are bootlegs. The only way for the seller to prove they are not bootlegs is to open it up and show the chips, if they are not Sega branded chips then it's definately a boot, however the sqaure cut labels and serial numbers matching know bootlegs is probably a give away.

    The seller was last on the site less than an hour of me posting this and has made no attempt whatsoever to clarify as to whether these are boots or not so his/her silence leaves a lot to be desired considering their authenticity was brought into question within just an hour or so of the thread first going up.

    If anyone is foolish enough to buy these I have some magic beans going cheap...

    this topic has gone on long enough and the seller has had enough time to try clarify this.

    The sale portion of the topic is now removed and if the seller tries to edit it back in or re-list he will be in deep shit as selling boots (that people try to pass off as the real thing) violates the forum rules.
