hi members , i am thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy S7 just for the video camera function as what i have im not happy with it. I was wondering if anyone has a S7 and how does filming a CRT TV come out ? flickery and other problems etc........... also i was wondering if there is any video quality difference with the S7 and S7 edge ? chat soon btw i spoke to the maker of the below video and this is a Iphone 6 , from other comparison videos on Youtube the S7 out performs it.
My wife has the S6 edge and her sister has the Iphone 6 and it blows the picture quality of the iphone 6 out of the water. I Imagine the S7 is better than the Iphone 6 and the only difference is the screen which is rounded on the edges (sucks for finding screen protectors).
going by ASSEMbler's video link which i have seen before the S7 has better video quality than the Iphone 6. Before purchasing the S7 i want to know how it holds up filming CRT TV's/CRT Arcade Monitors tho.
Moved to off topic - this has nothing to do with modding. The S7 has a good camera with better low light functionality. That said, nothing is going to film a CRT that well - especially if it isn't synced at the same speed as the trace. Difference between what? Nonsense! There are plenty of differences between the S7 and S7 Edge - the latter is curved, the former isn't. The S7 has a higher resolution technically, because the Edge has a bigger screen. It also has a higher capacity battery. And curved screen protectors are readily available. There are lots of differences between the S6 Edge and the S7 (Edge)... and you can't really compare it directly to the iPhone 6. So whatever you meant, the curved screen certainly isn't the only difference!
If you want to film CRTs try to find a video camera where you can change shutter speed and whatnot. You can have the best video camera ever but if you can't match the refresh rate of the TV you're gonna get nasty flicker.
It must be back in the days of covers from China and sliding Nokia phones. None would fit, and crack overnight.
all phone covers come from china, all the Australian distributors purchase stock from Alibaba . Those Nokia Navigators where good handsets but they had some bad design, if you tap the side of the phone hard enough it will crack the LCD. Also the LVDS flex had no protection, so if some dirt go in between the screen and phone it would destroy it's self because there is .5mm clearance in there.. There are 3 types of edge screen protectors I've seen: 1: The iPhone 6 style ones that don't go to the edge of the screen 2: The floppy ones that look all wobbly, like you've covered your phone in sandwich wrap 3: The curved glass ones which have two strips of double sided tape along the sides and are stupid expensive.

If you want to protect your Gorilla Glass screen... get Gorilla Glass! lol. GPEL also use Asahi Glass, which is Japanese and have plants in Europe, America, India, Indonesia and Thailand. The CHEAP glass protectors come from China. Many retailers (here anyway) put them up an extortionate amount... but I guess shipping glass from China half way round the World is a risky business.
