sanity-check plz - 360 pad mystery part

Found this non-magnetic pin beneath the controller I had open. I don't reconize it, and the controller seems happy without it. Right now I'm suspecting it's just debris sent to haunt me.

 

I don't think it's a part of the controller. My guess is that it's the broken off end of the 3.5mm jack plug on one of the live headsets.

2.5mm or 3.5mm. theres a difference

 

2.5 or 3.5, its off a headphone jack and isnt supposed to be there. The 1mm makes zero difference.
