Is not like you cant play PS2 games anywhere else, having hardware BC (which wasnt that good anyways) isnt a necessity but a choice.

I hear that they are going to do a deal with George Foreman and release a PS3 with a built in grill...

If the 120GB model is true then I hope they will keep PS2 compatability.

On another note, I've managed to fill up my 60GB HDD with nothing more then playable demos and GT5 videos downloaded from the PlaystationStore.

Um... If it's 20/60GB it's just as good as ps2 if not better (the previous bugs were fixed as well ps3 supports hw upscaling 720p/1080i/1080p). Not to mention games that use HDD are suported on ps3 (but of course not so on slim ps2).

80GB are getting better but yeah still have their problems.

    I didn't think the 20GB/60GB versions upscaled PS2 games - I thought only the 80GB one did?

The 120GB mole story is laughable IMO. A bulked out 1 line rumour.

Yup - upscaling was added in the 1.8x firmware updates & is definitely present on my 60GB unit's game & BD/DVD menus.

Nice addition. So I guess it changes the emulation from pure hardware to hardware & software then? Have you tried it with games that don't work so well on the 80GB version to see if that is true (and if not, could you please?)

Have never personally tinkered with an 80GB model, so I don't know which games have been reported to have problems with it - can you point me at a recentish list of known culprits? I know about the one on Sony's site, but it's a non-wildcard searchable list & the ones I searched for are generally shown as OK with the current 2.10 firmware.

Has anyone else had the problem after the latest firmware update that playing in HDMI freaks out? It was perfectly fine before that. Hopefully they fix it post 80GB versions.

The day Ishtar comes out on Blu-Ray is the day I get a PS3. :p

160-180 GB?? That'd be pretty nice... I'm having trouble filling up my elite though... It'd be nice for running Linux and such.
