right now i perform pcb design for n64 cart, but can't decide which type of sd will be beter
    1) SD good that romset easy can be updated, but SD card stick out outside the case and need to modify shell. i not like it
    2) good that SD inside of shell, not need to modify shell, but hard to update

personally i thinking that romset not need to update many times, so open a shell few times not looks like a big problem, but sticked out SD it is always a problem because need to be careful, otherwise easy to fall of SD connector with a piece of board . also not modified shell without extra holes looks beter :)
rss mmc can not be used as alternative because rs mmc cads usually have size not more than 2gb

MicroSD is perfect and I have dozens of microSD at home. :)

(And you can easily transform them in SD with an adapter)

I prefer SD. It´s not a problem for me modify the shell. I prefer take the card without open it.
(¿How many gigabytes occupy the "entire" romlist?)

I prefer regular SD for my Deluxe versions just because I don't want customer taking cart apart every time they want to change something.

Standard got my vote. Once the cart is modified its easy to just remove the card and pop it in a card reader.
Micro would me more hassle to me.

Looking forward to this new everdrive Krikzz, can hardly wait.

Best solution would be a micro sd that doesn't stick out but is accessible without opening the cart. Maybe spring loaded.
But opening the cart everytime you wanna replace a savegame is not a very smart design

I voted for standard SD since I end up using SD cards for multiple things. Although I hope their is a way to satisfy both. Maybe we could put space on for the Microsd for those enterprising enough to solder a connector on?

Standard, I like to maintain a smaller ROM set that I play and being able to easely plug in SD-card in computer to update the set when I want to add games is great IMHO.

My problem with the microSD and miniSD formats are that you have to put them in the adapters to read them on PC, and those adapters routinely fail. I've had several fail even from Kingston.

Thats the problem with every flash card format, except for CF being used in an adapter through IDE.

    Full sized SD:
    Larger size at cheaper prices
You can get an adapter for mini and micro if you really want to use them.

    Cons:
It's kinda big (if you're measuring based on the size of a grain of sand)

    MicroSD:
    Small

    Cons:
Can be lost in a box of crisps.

Maybe I'm just smokin crack, but for me all that matters is:

    1. what will load games better/more reliably?
    2. what will make it cheaper to produce and buy?

Whichever one that is gets my vote.

Voting microsd, I don't intend to keep every bad/alt/overdumped/underdumped rom in my romset so I'd rather just have everything tucked away neatly inside the cart itself.

Wait, so will the Everdrive 64 be different from the current Everdrives and be able to accept a 2GB+ media? If so, I may change my mind.
