The first batch is sold out, check snesfreaks forums for more info: http://forum.snesfreaks.com/viewforum.php?f=159 Edit: Looks like the second batch may be spoken for too, and not done until 2013, might have to get one second hand. http://forum.snesfreaks.com/viewtopic.php?p=189446#p189446
The first batch was 30 pieces. The second will be 100 and they are all preordered since a few days now. I got one of them and it works like a charm. Have to test the msu game road blaster (500MB with msu video support). You should contact ikari_01 to pre order one. Some discussions about can be found here: http://www.circuit-board.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2645
WTF?! I visit sd2snes every single day, didn't see anything about a pre-order!! I was thinking that he was still developing GSU-1/2! this lack of information sucks =(
I know. Sorry about that. ray: It's kind of noncommercial and I can't be too public about actually distributing them. That's also why the quantity is limited to 100 per year. Of course GSU is still in development and will be released as a firmware upgrade. Although at the moment I'm more occupied with actually assembling the units. So yeah, in terms of availability it would be cool if someone was willing to actually manufacture and distribute sd2snes, even if that makes a price increase very likely.
i wouldn't say that a price increase is likely...there seems to be quite some interest in your product, so if they're produced completely or like 80% finished so there's only a bit of assembling required in a quantity of say 5000 pcs the price wouldn't be that much higher. even more if they're produced in china lemme know if you need any help
Uhm, what? I said what I meant, not what you meant. I said 0% finished PCB and I will make it myself, you clearly did not mean that - therefore quoting me and saying "thats what I meant" is wrong. Pretty simple. And so? that's why it would be cheaper, ship me the parts and I will build it myself. Silk screen is going to have the parts labelled anyway, just need to cross reference that to schematic. Not exactly difficult.
glad this dude decided to launch preorders in whocaresgerman instead of posting a news update on his fucking website
