Karsten, do you mean mascot like, Sonic is / was the mascot of Sega ? since then the word is mascot , or at least it is in Danish strangely enough that I can guess some of your words at times

 

I checked the intro themes album and it seems you want only arranged music? no chip generated at all like Megadrive, NES, C-64 and similar?

For me when i listen to game music i almost always want to hear how it really sounded in the game as thats much of the charm when you listen to gamemusic... unless the theme of the album is "arranged music" of course.

 

there was just one arranged song there and that was turrican's theme. the snes songs are just that good... it's just by chance that there are no old-style tunes.. even tought it might be a theme itself alone

BTW the forums works well now, and most of the page is OK, tought cosmetically NOTHING has been done...

I've always liked Akumajou Dracula SFC musics. The one with a cool jazz feeling, very natural bass and rather inspired synth solo, it's in the jumping and spitting giant frogs stage, can't remember if it's third or fourth stage.
