The voice of Calcifer is indeed Billy Crystal. :-D I'm eagerly awaiting it in A Theater Near Me. Last week I saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which on the whole was pretty funny. The movie turns out to be rather different than the trailers lead you to believe, but in a good way. Just got in from seeing Batman Begins, and let me just say WOW. If you have any love of Batman or superhero movies in general, you owe it to yourself to see this movie. It completely makes up for Batman Forever, Batman Returns, and Batman And Robin. My only real gripe was that it didn't feature the Batman theme from the first movie, but whatever. Batman as he was originally meant to be, classic villians that are far more interesting than the Penguin, and thank God for no "Holy Bat *insert horrible pun*, Batman!" Ah, the benefits of a girlfriend who works at the theater and gets free shows + a guest. :-D And a good summer for movies it is, too.
Hey, I liked Batman Returns. The hideous Penguin man was a cool take on an otherwise stupid character. But yes, it was more of a Tim Burton movie and less of a Batman movie. But I'm like a Tim Burton fanatic, so that's why I like it. At least my nose isn't gushing blood....
I watched Batman Begins last night. I thought the movie was incredible, especially since they took out the cheese factor present in all of the preceding Batman movies. They also picked a fantastic actor for Bruce Wayne (I thought so, anyway - it's the guy from Equilibrium, if you're curious). I highly recommend it.
hey, i thought i saw this guy in another movie, but i couldn't figure wich one. that was equilibirum!
As I said, this Batman movie was a lot similar to the intent of the original comic series than the last three installments, that tended to take after the cheese of the '60's TV series. And yeah, I totally forgot Sin City, having seen it back in April, but if you have the chance to see it in theatres in your part of the world, do so. I think movies for the rest of the year will be hard pressed to top Sin City, even as cool as Star Wars was.
I dont remember much about Batman returns. About all I remember is that soem guy was fucked up when he got electrocuted and penguins had rockets on their freakin backs.
This weekend I watched Hero, Dodgeball, The Bourne Supremacy and The Terminal. Hero, whilst telling a story was pretty boring, Dodgeball was a bit cheap but not bad and pretty fun (cock flavourered lolipops, haha!),The Bourne Supremacy also wasn't too entertaining But I found The Terminal quite enjoyable.
the Bruce Wayne actor played the leadrole in American Psycho and i remember the song True Faith because it is made by New Order
:dance :smt023 I watched Batman Begins yesterday, although i never liked the character. I'm glad they finally went back to the dark style, like the first movie. Although "Begins" is way better.
Yeah, I saw Sin City too, totally awsome. If any of you guys have read the comics, they're almost exact, panel for panel. Incredible cinephotography, guys getting thier heads flushed into toilets, people getting shot in the groin and thier nuts ripped off, hot chicks, that movie has it all.
