Mmm... playing ports of games I've already played a million times over and already own on their original systems doesn't come close to the '90s.


Really, if anything, it's a good time to have NOT been a Sega fan, because then all of this is new to you. And also you don't have to put up with the shambling shell of suck that the company that once brought us the likes of Panzer Dragoon, NiGHTS, Sonic, etc. has become.

 

This "collection" only has 3 games? 0_o. I'm a bit wooed,but really how hard would it have been to throw in the other (3?) games?!

 

It wouldn't have been hard at all to include the others, lol i take it that SEGA isn't aware of fan translations as monster world IV has been translated in english for years, so not much of a selling point really. Will be curious to see what kind of filtering they will use, that will be the deal breaker along with price.

So whats the point cost for this as if it's over 800 MSP they can GTFO. As nice as the extras & frontend is, im not paying premium for tarted up roms.

 

I'm with you on this one, ports like this should be 800 MSP at most. Even that depends on the game, 800 points for the Simpsons game was an absolute ripoff.

 

Would much rather see them make a new game with the old assets, a la Fantasy Zone II System 16 version. That might've been the coolest thing to happen to modern gaming ever.

 

It would be a miracle if Sega was restarted as it was back then, nobody does the kind of "in your face, fuck you" ads Sega did, its all "be nice" shit with baby music, apple ads on zoloft IMO

The problem is the current market, nobody cares about true originality, is all BS, people want expensive gimmicks as status symbols, hence all the idiots paying thousands for a phone+fees but "$400 for a console? u crazy brah?"

Maybe thats because you can't flaunt a Genesis around town like you do with an iphone....

 

So it's a collection of only 3 games?

 

Really looking forward to this, will be nice to earn the achievement/trophies on this one
